Seamus Harper (Gordon Michael Woolvett), working in virtual reality to repair the Andromeda Ascendant, stumbles upon what looks like another “Rommie” Avatar asleep. He informs Rommie (Lexa Doig) of his discovery, which he believes to be a backup copy of Andromeda’s Personality Core. He goes to take a closer look, but something goes wrong. Announcements are issued that the backup is being restored. Rommie and Andromeda both freeze momentarily before being reactivated, this time wearing a different uniform. The backup Avatar demands to know who Harper is, and knocks him unconscious when he fails to respond with a proper authorization code. The backup AI issues an intruder alert. Captain Dylan Hunt (Kevin Sorbo) and Beka (Lisa Ryder) are surprised when the backup AI fails to recognize them, warning them that if they do not surrender they will be destroyed, and they find themselves trapped in the Officer’s Mess. The backup AI is looking for Captain Perim, the previous commander of the Andromeda who went missing in action a few years before Dylan came along. Trance (Laura Bertram), hearing the intruder warnings, runs into Command and is confronted by the backup AI and hologram. They order Trance to pilot the ship into Slipstream. Rommie argues with her backup AI and hologram, confused that they don’t recognize her as they are one and the same. They try to contain her, but Rommie still has some control over the ship and goes off to try and find what’s wrong. Back in the Officer’s Mess, Dylan and Beka are relieved when Tyr (Keith Hamilton Cobb) blasts down the door. The three head for the escape pods as time runs out before the emergency decompression commences. However, Harper has managed to prevent the venting from occurring. He informs the three via intercom of the backup being reinstalled. Meanwhile, Trance is forced to continue piloting Slipstream as Rommie tries to convince the backups that the original crew no longer exists and that many years have passed. The backup hologram begins to consider that maybe Rommie is telling the truth. The backups are skeptical, however, because of Rev Bem (Brent Stait) – could the Andromeda crew really be allied with a Magog? Harper successfully puts a temporary stop on the internal defense mechanisms that have been firing at the crew. Rommie and Dylan speculate that the backups might be following a classified mission. Suddenly, the Andromeda comes under attack by thousands of claw-shaped ships. They realize the attackers are Magog, and Dylan sends Tyr to protect Harper, while he and Beka head for Command to find out who is piloting the ship. Trance tries to change direction of the ship, but the backup AI tells her to stay put. Eerie sounds fill the corridors as the Magog get closer to boarding the ship. Tyr joins up with Harper and they head for a reactor core where Harper thinks he can gain access into the AI’s main memory. Meanwhile, Dylan and Beka gather weapons. Suddenly, the eerie sounds filling the corridors of the ship are replaced with silence. The Magog launch their internal attack. In one corridor, Beka and Dylan fight off a swarm of the enemy, while in another corridor Rommie fights them off on her own. Tyr and Harper retreat from the Magog in an attempt to get to the reactor core. Meanwhile, Rev Bem launches his own attack on a group of Magog when he is confronted by one named Bloodmist (Gerard Plunkett). He tells Rev Bem to join them, but Rev Bem refuses. Bloodmist is about to kill Rev Bem when Rommie arrives and knocks Bloodmist down. Back in Command, Trance continues piloting in Slipstream. A group of Magog surprise Dylan and Beka. Beka manages to fight them off, but not before Dylan is badly wounded. Harper contacts Dylan and informs him he’s at Andromeda’s memory core, but needs an access code to get in, which Dylan provides. Once inside, Harper is horrified by visions in Andromeda’s memory. He sees visions of the Command full of dead bodies, swarming with Magog. Andromeda appears to be attempting the same mission. Harper starts to reinstall the updated memory of Andromeda when the Magog attack in full force. Tyr and Harper are paralyzed and dragged away by the Magog. Bloodmist continues in his attempt to lure Rev Bem to their side. Rev Bem attacks, and is shot by Bloodmist. Rommie tries to stop Bloodmist, but instead he grabs hold of her and pins her to the wall thorough her abdomen with a sharp piece of metal. Rev Bem comes to and runs off to find Tyr and Harper, unaware that Rommie needs his help as well. Dylan and Beka finally make their way into Command as Trance pilots out of Slipstream and right into an enormous Magog universe, tens of thousands of miles long with an artificial sun at its core. The backup AI informs Dylan that the world they face is filled with trillions of Magog. From deep within the Magog world, a familiar shadowy figure, with glowing red eyes and pupils made of swirling black holes, watches as an all out assault of Point Singularity weapons are launched at Andromeda. Explosions rip throughout the ship. Both Rommie and the backup hologram faintly call out a Code Red, but no one answers…all on board are unconscious, including Dylan, who lies in Command, bleeding… …To Be Continued… (next season)

  1. If the Wheel is Fixed
Tyr (Keith Hamilton Cobb) and Beka (Lisa Ryder) have disappeared into the dimensional tunnel. Dylan (Kevin Sorbo) and the Andromeda crew attempt to open the tunnel in hopes of rescuing their crewmates. They fail and the tunnel closes trapping Tyr and Beka.

Dylan takes off in the Maru to re-create the scenario in which Tyr and Beka disappeared. A wave of space detritus is headed where the dimensional tunnel once was, however the Maru’s position may cause it to get sucked in amidst all the residue. The Andromeda Ascendant rescues the Maru by moving between the residue and the Maru. After arriving safely back to the Andromeda, Dylan notices the dimensional tunnel opening up. The ship is being sucked into it. As the Andromeda continues to fight the force pulling them into the tunnel, Beka and Tyr reappear and both seem to be okay except for Tyr’s bone blades. The ship continues to struggle against the pulsing power of the dimensional tunnel. Beka impatiently jumps into the slipstream pilot’s console and slams the ship into slipstream drive. This causes the Andromeda to fall back and approach the tunnel at maximum speed. Dylan pulls Beka from the console and steps in her place, releasing the ship from the force.

The Andromeda has mysteriously gone into Maintenance Mode, Dylan orders the crew to deck 11 where they’ll be safe from deadly decontamination gas. Tyr is the only one who doesn’t show up at the deck. Dylan questions Tyr’s ability to move through the corridor without being affected by the fumes and then realizes the disinfectant is fake.

Beka and Trance (Laura Bertram) leave in the Maru and Beka navigates them very close to the Andromeda.

Back on Andromeda, Rommie (Lexa Doig) finds that the same energy streams that were found in the dimensional tunnel match up exactly with Tyr and Beka’s nervous system. Dylan suspects that something is controlling both Tyr and Beka.

Meanwhile, Tyr has immobilized Rommie in order to take over the ship and kill Dylan. Tyr commands Rommie to kill Dylan by depressurizing the Command Deck.

Back on the Maru, Beka immobilizes Trance and fires rockets at the Andromeda pushing the ship towards the dimensional tunnel.

Dylan surprises Tyr by dropping in on him through a grate . As they battle for the command of the ship, Tyr mysteriously becomes invisible. As they continue to fight Harper succeeds in cutting off the rays from the tunnel releasing both Tyr and Beka. Later, Tyr has no recollection of what has happened.

The ship is now fully operational and new adventures await Dylan and the crew of Andromeda.

  2. The Shards of Rimni
An incoming courier drone from Singapore Drift delivers mail to the crew of the Andromeda. As Rommie (Lexa Doig), Beka (Lisa Ryder) and Harper (Gordon Michael Woolvett) are opening their packages, Captain Dylan Hunt (Kevin Sorbo) reacts oddly to the mail he receives. Dylan instructs Harper to follow him as they travel in the Maru to the Fellenhoff Gravity Drift. They come upon Konstantine (Sal Sortino) lying dead on the floor. As Dylan is leaning over the body, five Commonwealth officers burst in and arrest Dylan for the murder. He and Harper are taken to jail but an unknown jailor breaks in and helps them escape and return to the Maru.

Back on the Andromeda, Tyr (Keith Hamilton Cobb) and Beka listen to Rommie as she reports that Dylan Hunt is wanted for murder. The evidence points to Dylan as the guilty party, yet the crew has faith in his innocence.

Dylan and Harper disappear into slipstream and head toward Drift Talos 5 where they find Lucius Abelard (Lawrence Bayne) hiding out in a cave. They take Abelard with them on the Maru and Abelard explains to Dylan that he is being framed for murder in order to blackmail him for a certain shard he possesses.

On the Andromeda, the first officer of the Commonwealth Security notifies the crew they have two days to turn Dylan in. In the meantime, Commonwealth Security will be following them at close range.

Abelard gives Dylan a small box he has had in his possession. From the contents, Dylan learns that Zeus (Winston Rekert) is holding Abelard’s friend, Peder (Colin Corrigan), hostage on planet Garbald.

Dylan, Harper and Abelard travel to planet Garbald to find Zeus and save Peder. As Dylan and Abelard travel through the jungle to reach Peder, Dylan is attacked. After defeating his attacker, Dylan searches his belongings. The hand comm. hologram is activated and Zeus appears instructing Dylan to bring the shards currently in his possession and meet him at a Cafe.

Dylan meets Zeus, who admits that this was all planned in order to get the shards from Dylan and then kill him. A fight breaks out in the Cafe and Dylan is able to escape.

Zeus contacts Dylan again and they decide to meet once more. This time Dylan brings Harper with him to carry the shards. When Dylan arrives, a few men who are working with Zeus, including Abelard, attack him and Harper. The fighting continues until Abelard, demanding the rest of the shards, holds Harper hostage. Dylan has no choice other than to give him the shards. Abelard puts them together to form a vase and nothing happens. Having heard the legend of the shards, this is not what Abelard and Zeus were expecting. Zeus takes off and disappears. Dylan is unable to catch him.

The Andromeda crew locates Dylan and is able to talk to him through the comm. on his uniform. As Abelard admits to framing Dylan, his entire confession is taped by Rommie and forwarded to the Commonwealth ships that were just about to blow up Dylan and Harper's location. Dylan is no longer in trouble and is left with the priceless vase.

  3. Mad To Be Saved
The Andromeda and her crew are caught in a battle between a pursuit craft and a rusty ship. Noticing the ship is leaking oxygen and in danger, Dylan (Kevin Sorbo) decides to save whomever is on it. To his surprise, 12 humans appear. Beka (Lisa Ryder) and Dylan welcome the humans onto Andromeda and find out they are from planet Gallaphron.

Dylan is struck by the beauty of one refugee, Angelika (Krista Rae). Beka and Dylan discuss the refugees and how they seem a bit “off.” Angelika tells Dylan that she killed the Captain because he had locked them all in a storage hold which drove them insane.

In an Andromeda corridor, Beka is approached by refugees slowly moving in on her. Dylan and Tyr (Keith Hamilton Cobb) come to help and they all find themselves in a standoff. They pull out their weapons and the refugees run into the machine shop grabbing whatever they can to defend themselves. Harper (Gordon Michael Woolvett) walks in and is taken hostage.

One of the refugees, Oderic (Byron Lawson) gets into a fight with Dylan and blurts out that hurting Dylan him can’t be worse than what the doctor did. Angelika shows up and explains as prisoners of war, they were put in an insane asylum where they were subjected to psychological and physical torture.

Back in the Machine Shop, Harper is rescued by Tyr, but Tyr fails to escape when he is rendered unconscious by the refugees. In the Andromeda Command Center, Dylan, Beka, Rommie and Angelika watch the events taking place in the Machine Shop, but they are unable to do anything.

The crew learns that Dr.Yanomami (Mina Erian Mina) is the doctor responsible for the torture. He is wanted in four galaxies. He disguises himself as a refugee and brainwashes his victims into believing that they are the torturer.

Dylan heads to the Machine Shop to rescue Tyr. As the refugee Numa (Len Doncheff) runs, Dylan tackles him and Numa’s face is shocked by a nanowelder. He goes through a full body transformation that reveals him to be Dr. Yanomami. Dylan confines the doctor to a jail cell. He learns from a hologram sent from a Commonwealth Operativ, that Dr. Yanomami and his patients are to be delivered unharmed to the Commonwealth Command.

Later on the Medical Deck, Beka, Rommie and Dylan discover locations of hidden weapons satellites by matching EEG numbers from cat scans of the refugees and coordinating them with a map of Gallaphron.

Meanwhile, Dylan looks for Angelika and finds her with a nanowelder in her hand next to a dying Dr. Yanomami.

In the Hangar Deck, all of the refugees are safely on board and are to be shipped to the Commonwealth Command.

  4. Cui Bono
Andromeda is in battle mode with a pirate ship. Dylan (Kevin Sorbo) receives an official letter from CINC telling him to save and protect a courier ship, which houses someone who is highly sought after. Dylan and Beka (Lisa Ryder) make their way down the corridor and are greeted by Sid Barry (John De Lancie), Beka’s uncle, who tried to kill her in the past. Sid is a candidate for the top spot in the Commonwealth government. Beka is angered at this information and threatens to produce a disk that has Sid admitting to murder.

Later in the corridor, Dylan reprimands Beka for her letting her personal feelings get in the way of her job.

Beka prepares an apology and goes to Sid’s office. She steps inside of the dark office and sees Sid slumped over in his chair with a wound on his forehead.

Later, on the Andromeda medical deck, Trance (Laura Bertram) attends to Sid. Dylan doesn’t know who is responsible for Sid’s death but is determined to find out. Dylan puts Beka in charge of the investigation. Even though Sid is in a coma, Beka is able to communicate with him through a VR matrix.

Tyr (Keith Hamilton Cobb) and Gretchen (Kirsten Robek), Sid’s Chief of Staff, meet on the Observation Deck. Gretchen tells Tyr of Sid’s revenge fund, which states that 15 million guilders will be paid to whoever assassinates Sid’s murderer -- in this case, attempted murderer. Gretchen offers Tyr the reward if he goes after the guilty party.

Later in the Eureka Maru cockpit - Beka, Dylan and Tyr discuss the revenge fund while approaching Quantum Technology, one of Sid’s rivals. Antonin Zwartik (Vladimir Moscoff) comes over the display and reveals information that links Sid and his partner with several large cash payments to a well-known mercenary outfit. Just then, plasma fire destroys Quantum Technology along with their prime suspect. The revenge fund is in full effect and mercenaries are killing anyone who looks like a payday.

Later, Dylan meets with Gretchen in his office and asks her to cancel the revenge fund. She replies that it is no longer her problem and all that she is concerned with is the election.

Dylan visits Sid in cyberspace and confronts him. The revenge fund has worked out perfectly for Sid. His rivals are going down one by one and if continued, he will be elected by default.

On the medical deck Gretchen visits Sid and tries to assassinate him. Dylan and Tyr send Gretchen to the brig as Sid stabilizes.

Later Dylan and Beka head to Golden Harvest to see Caylor Ragatz (Robert Lewis), who placed the last phone call to Sid before he was shot. Dylan and Ragatz begin to struggle. The lights go out and a swarm of bullets kill Ragatz.

Once back on Maru, Beka decides to kill Sid but when she arrives at the medical desk to find him, he is gone. Beka makes it onto the Maru just in time to stop Sid from escaping.

Beka and Sid dash out of the cockpit and run into a group of hit men who realize that Sid isn’t dead. Fighting begins and Sid is shot. Beka retaliates and kills the rest of the hit men.

Sid survives but does not win the election.

  5. The Lone And Level Sands
While in the Eureka Maru, Dylan (Kevin Sorbo), Harper (Gordon Michael Woolvett), Tyr (Keith Hamilton Cobb) and Rommie (Lexa Doig) are attacked by Ogami ships that damage the Maru’s slipstream drive, just as the Ogami move in for the kill, another ship, the Bellerophon, appears and blasts both Ogami ships to pieces then engulfs the Maru.

On Andromeda, Trance (Laura Bertram) and Beka (Lisa Ryder) find no trace of the Maru and wonder where the rest of their crew has gone.

Dylan and crew are met by Commander Nadya Ratmansky (Venus Terzo) in the Bellerophon hanger. Dylan is lead down a corridor to meet Captain Metis (Tony Todd) and is suddenly caught in the middle of another attack by two more Ogami ships. Nadya gets pinned down in the attack and when unable to defend her captain, Dylan comes to his rescue and saves his life by killing two Ogamis. Fighting continues as Rommie heads to kill a group of Ogamis when Captain Metis is suddenly stunned by her beauty.

On Andromeda, Beka and Trance continue to look for evidence explaining the Maru’s disappearance. The slip fighter on the Maru has been damaged during the Ogami fights and cannot get back to Andromeda. Captain Metis has sent Kemp (Ray Galetti) to work on the Eureka Maru with Harper.

Dylan goes to visit the men working in the Engine Room and is told the Maru is not functional. Captain Metis shows concern for the Maru’s condition, yet unable to help, offers Dylan the Bellerophon as a new home.

On the Bellerophon Bridge, Captain Metis and Rommie meet and their attraction increases. Later on the Bellerophon bridge, Nadya is having a heated argument with Captain Metis about having been away from earth for so long that by the time they do return nobody will care about their mission.

Dylan approaches Captain Metis for help once more, Captain Metis suggests dropping Dylan and the ship off on a planet until help arrives. Dylan objects to the suggestion and continues to look for an alternative way to solve the problem.

Nadya and Dylan have a private discussion about how the Bellerophon crew is planning a mutiny against Captain Metis. Nadya tells Dylan that they have acquired technology that can help repair his ship. Rommie goes to meet with Captain Metis and spots his Access Card. With a little flirting, she is able to distract Metis and palm his Access Card.

In the Bellerophon Corridor Rommie and Tyr use Metis’s Access Card to get into a locked room that houses a damaged slip fighter. This information gets to Dylan who realizes that Metis has had this spare part all along. Klaxons begin to attack the Bellerophon and the mutiny begins. Dylan confronts Captain Metis about lying to him. Dylan proposes that he can help stop the mutiny if Metis turns over the technology they need for the Maru.

The mutineers begin to move in on Dylan and Metis, but are not successful. Dylan suggests an alternative to punishing the mutinous crew, he proposes that the Andromeda transport any crew member who wishes to go back to Earth, while Captain Metis continues his mission exploring space.

  6. Slipfighter the Dogs of War
The Andromeda is rocked by what turns out to be an exploding star. Rommie (Lexa Doig) reports the epicenter of the explosion to be in the Kantorek System where such an occurrence is not likely to happen given the low level of residual Voltarium. Dylan (Kevin Sorbo) instructs Rommie to find out what planet in the System is able to make Voltarium based weapons. The crew learns that the planet Marduk is the closest to the explosion and capable of making Votarium products.

Trance (Laura Bertram) explains to Dylan that no one should have such power to destroy suns in the universe. He agrees and plans a visit to Marduk to destroy the factory creating the Voltarium.

Tyr is familiar with the orbital defense system on Marduk and advises Dylan not to underestimate it. To see what they are up against, Rommie runs a mission scenario that displays the Andromeda being destroyed before it even reaches the planet’s surface.

The danger and difficulty of the trip causes Tyr (Keith Hamilton Cobb) to doubt his capabilities in completing this nearly impossible mission. Dylan and Beka (Lisa Ryder) decide to take Tyr to the starfield with slipfighters to test his flying abilities in a mock fighting situation. When all is finished, Tyr’s ship is blown up by Dylan in the flying exercise. Frustrated with his defeat, Tyr goes back out in the slipfighter to practice and regain his confidence.

On the Command Deck, Rommie detects that Marduk has tested another bomb. Dylan, Tyr and Beka prepare to travel to Marduk to stop them. Trance includes herself in the mission and boards the slipfighter with Dylan.

The slipfighters travel to Marduk where they sneak through the planet’s orbital defense perimeter. After flying blind through heavy fog, alarms go off and flak clouds begin to burst around them. Just as the flak ceases, Marduk fighters begin to attack.

Dylan, Trance and Tyr are shot down during the fight and must continue their search on foot for the Voltarium factory. Trance and Dylan are accosted by the starving and poor inhabitants while Tyr continues to search for his crewmates and the factory. In the only remaining slipfighter, Beka awaits Dylan’s command to drop the bomb she is carrying on the Voltarium factory. Dylan, Trance and Tyr regroup and battle their way through the Marduk soldiers to reach the target where Dylan instructs Beka to drop the bomb.

Back on the Andromeda, the crew questions whether their mission really helped the Marduk inhabitants, knowing they remain under the oppressive control of their evil leaders.

  7. The Leper's Kiss
Dylan is visited by his friend Marshall Man Ka-Lupe (Greg Kean), a man who will become the next Triumvir of the Commonwealth. Ka-Lupe knows he is the target of an assassination attempt, set to take place in 72 hours at a press conference in the Lundmark System, and needs Dylan’s assistance.
Unfortunately, Man Ka-Lupe informs him that the mission is on a need-to-know basis. Any leaked information could send the assassin, known as The Leper, back into hiding so he must keep his crew in the dark for now. Knowing the risks but willing to help his friend, Dylan recruits Tyr (Keith Hamilton Cobb) and Beka (Lisa Ryder) for this top-secret mission. Beka and Tyr go along but remain dubious about the mission.
The three of them take the Maru to the Cassius Drift to seek out The Leper. Dylan leaves Beka and Tyr on guard while he begins his search for his contact. He conducts interviews with various criminals under the guise that he’s working for The Leper, looking to hire talent for an assassination. When Dylan tells a mysterious woman named Sasha (Sarah Deakins) that she has the job, she suddenly pulls out a gun and starts firing. Dylan subdues her and informs Tyr and Beka that she is actually The Leper’s sister.
Back on the Maru, Dylan interrogates a tied-up Sasha to find she really hates her brother for killing her entire family and betraying her. His further questioning begins to reveal her brother’s sinister, remorseless methods and her resolve to kill him.
As they travel to find The Leper in the trinary star system, the Maru is detected and fired upon by the Lundmark defense fleet. They escape just in time but have no way to sneak into the system until Sasha suggests Crescent (Michael Hogan), a friend who navigates the back-routes of Lundmark. But first, they must break him out of the gangster Gunyon’s (Alan Peterson) prison.
Setting aside their suspicion, Dylan, Beka and Tyr cut a deal with Crescent’s captor, agreeing to let him take credit for The Leper’s impending death. Crescent is brought aboard the Maru and successfully guides them through the system.
The crew lands in a cave where Dylan instructs Sasha and Crescent to stay aboard the ship as the rest travel to the Lundmark True Royal Hotel where the press conference is set to happen.
As Dylan, Tyr and Beka arrive in the city, they spot Sasha and Crescent sneaking through the shadows, confirming Dylan’s suspicion that Sasha is actually The Leper. The two conspirators split up and Tyr and Beka follow Crescent as Dylan follows Sasha. Tyr and Beka quickly corner Crescent and as he is about to reveal Sasha’s identity, he is shot through the chest. Meanwhile, Dylan pretends to stumble upon Sasha in an alley saying he has lost track of his crew. She is not fooled and fights him long enough to slip away again.
While searching the hotel, Dylan discovers Sasha taking aim at the Marshall through a window. With a look of regret on his face, he shoots her. As local policemen are leading her away, Sasha leaves Dylan with the ominous words, “I’ll see you again.”
Dylan finishes a friendly conversation with the grateful Man Ka-Lupe when Tyr interjects and tells him of Sasha’s escape from a Commonwealth prison. Aware of the strict security measures, Dylan is left with a dreadful hunch that none other than her mysterious brother could have helped.

  8. For Whom the Bell Tolls
Harper (Gordon Michael Woolvett) and Beka (Lisa Ryder) are rescuing settlers from a storm on planet Virgil Nine when they are forced to take cover in a cave. Harper twists his ankle, forcing him to remove his boot and as inspect his foot. While Harper’s attention is elsewhere, a maggot-like creature slips into his boot. Dylan (Kevin Sorbo) rescues Harper and Beka in the Maru during a break in the storm and the maggot is unwittingly brought aboard.
The Maru’s contamination alert signal informs them of the unidentified life form that has damaged the ship, rendering its propulsion systems inoperable. Dylan tells Rommie (Lexa Doig) to have the drones bring the ship in. He then investigates the ship and comes upon a hole dripping with slime and giving off a green haze is noticed in a control panel. Further analysis shows that is is the work of a maggot-like creature that secretes slime and eats metal.
Upon his return to the Andromeda, Dylan instructs Harper to quarantine the Maru in an anti-oxidation field. Despite their efforts, a remaining piece of the creature is stuck to Harper’s boot and as it falls off the piece begins to reproduce. The Andromeda is infested.
An eerie mood sets in and becomes more intense as one by one, the crew realizes another presence apart from the maggots is with them on the Andromeda. Harper is supposed to be in storage making traps from materials resistant to the maggot’s slime. Instead he is scaring himself with one of Beka’s horror books when the lights inexplicably go out. Tyr is working out alone when he feels the strange presence and sees his weight bar bent in half. Trance (Laura Bertram) and Dylan both have their own strange experiences and everyone is on edge without knowing why.
Harper walkins down a remote corridor when a door opens, beckoning him. Inside he finds a hidden, dark room. Curious, he sticks his head in and calls out, when he is terrified by a ghostly face appearing inches from his own. He finds the crew and reports his sighting of a ghost. Unconvinced, Dylan and Beka go back to the sighting location and find nothing more than maggot slime. Dylan decides that until Harper finishes making the maggot traps they will all have to be located and captured one by one.
Beka is in the duct setting traps when the maggot-damaged floor gives way and drops her in the storage area. While hanging by some inner cable workings she calls for help and is confronted and threatened by the apparition. She suddenly falls free and is rescued from the falling duct by Tyr (Keith Hamilton Cobb).
While everyone in the crew is experiencing ghost encounters, Rommie is tracking the maggot’s progress and pinpoints one of the strongest signals. It is an area not on her grid, located between two sectors. Dylan and Beka move to investigate and he explains that the area was a top-secret mech-lab. They force their way through the small hole to find a mummified corpse pinned under fallen beams. This corpse is the body of Eddie Aldrich (William Katt), the ghost that has been haunting the Andromeda crew for revenge. Dylan is upset that Eddie’s body was never found, and that he personally didn’t remember Eddie.
Meanwhile, the traps are not working and maggots have damaged the communications network. Rommie has discovered old footage of Eddie Aldrich that reveals his hero worship of Dylan. After they watch it Eddie appears. He is there for revenge against what he perceives as Dylan’s betrayal, not realizing the Commonwealth is 300 years in the past. Eddie attacks Dylan who has no choice but to defend himself. The “ghost’s” body is slashed open in the fray, spilling out his metallic insides and revealing him as an AI. Dylan tries to convince Eddie, who is still caught up in the past, to work with him to save Andromeda from the infestation.
Still intent on revenge, Eddie's AI takes over the Andromeda, shutting everything down and setting the self-detonation system. Rommie is unable to fight it and shuts down as well. Dylan sends the crew off on the Maru and races after Eddie to stop him. Angry at the interruption, Eddie prepares to kill him when a maggot falls on his shoulder. He destroys it but the damage is done. Dylan convinces Eddie that if he blows up the ship, he’ll only accomplish what the maggots where going to do. Eddie is swayed when Dylan tells him he can still make a difference: He can electrocute the ship in order to kill all the maggots. Eddie holds Dylan aloft protecting him from the charge, then collapses, dead maggots spilling from his body.
The crew gives Eddie’s real corpse a respectful burial, watching as the body floats away through space.

  9. And Your Heart Will Fly Away
Harper (Gordon Michael Woolvett) is testing the new navigation system on a modified slipfighter in a field of space garbage. On the Andromeda deck, strange debris infiltrates the ship, forming a Genite that attacks Dylan (Kevin Sorbo). The Genite screams Dylan’s name, clearly sending a message from an unknown source. Dylan chops the Genite in half, causing it to shatter into a million tiny pellets. During the attack, Tyr disappears in the modified slipfighter.
Rommie (Lexa Doig) learns the Genite came from a microsatellite delivery system. Further scanning reveals a private hologram transmission sent to Tyr from the same microsatellite. Harper examines the remains of the Genite. He explains to Dylan and Beka (Lisa Ryder) that the microscopic spheres are an eidolon, a structure of dark matter that can simulate an image of any size.
The crew’s attention is drawn to a giant Dylan Hunt eidolon that is floating in the distance. The Andromeda changes course to get closer to the figure when it fires at them. The Andromeda shoots a missile, but before it hits, the eidolon vanishes. Tracking the eidolon points the ship in the direction of the planet Elba Nine. They realize that the two eidolons are from the same source.
Meanwhile, on Elba Nine, Tyr has landed the slipfighter and has his own encounter with a Genite.
Back on the ship, the eidolon particles have infected the guidance system. Unbeknownst to the crew, a small ship docked during the encounter with the large eidolon of Dylan. Aboard the ship is Bartolome Naz, who knows Tyr’s location and his reason for going to Elba Nine. Bartolome is responsible for the creation of the eidolons.
Back on Elba Nine, a beautiful woman appears, saving Tyr from the Genite. She recognizes Tyr, slaps him and walks away. He follows.
On the Andromeda, Bartolome tells the story of his true love, Desiree, and how he hired Tyr to kill her because she no longer loved him. Instead of killing her, Tyr fell in love with her and left her on Elba Nine with hopes that Bartolome would never find her. Bartolome believed that the mission was accomplished until he received a message of unknown origin, leaving him to believe that Desiree was alive and that Tyr knew where she was. Bartolome sent the message to Tyr knowing he could follow him to find Desiree.
As the Andromeda gets closer to Elba Nine the crew encounters an attrox, an asteroid Bartolome converted to a war machine. They attempt to evade the attrox by going into slipstream, but it is able to pursue them. They realize they cannot fight it but can hide from it in a low orbit. This gives Beka and Harper enough time to take the Maru down to the planet’s surface and look for Tyr.
Tyr and Desiree discuss why Tyr left her alone on the planet for so long. He never responded to a message she had sent over a year ago. This was the same message Tyr just received. An alarm sounds, detecting two unknown visitors nearby. They prepare for a fight but as it turns out, it’s Beka and Harper coming to find Tyr.
Dylan orders everyone back to the ship, including Desiree. Time is running out and they will not be hidden from the attrox for much longer. Bartolome is hiding in the hangar waiting to kill Tyr for betraying him. They begin to fight and Beka breaks it up before anyone is hurt. Tyr and Desiree converse about how much she has changed in their time apart.
On the Command Deck, Dylan uses Bartolome’s assistance to create an eidolon-enhanced slipfighter of their own to distract the attrox. Desiree sneaks in to attack Bartolome. Beka shoots, mistaking her for an eidolon.
Tyr carries a bloody Desiree to the medical deck and Bartolome follows. Meanwhile, Dylan and Beka are stabilizing the ship to combat the attrox. The eidolon slipfighter transforms into a Magog warship distracting the attrox. Once turned around, the slipfighter explodes and the Andromeda attacks full force, destroying the attrox.
Desiree awakens as Dylan asks Bartolome to leave and to forget his vendetta against Desiree. Bartolome departs the ship and Tyr and Desiree return to Elba Nine. Although Try suggests having a life together, Desiree disagrees and prefers to stay where she is, alone

  10. The Unconquerable Man
Seamus Harper pushes a pod containing the body of Gaheris Rhade before Captain Dylan Hunt. Rhade betrayed Dylan in the past, moments before the Andromeda got stuck on the edge of a black hole for 300 years. Dylan notices a scar on Rhade’s hand that he had never noticed during their long friendship.

Suddenly, the crew is sent back in time, where Rhade is about to destroy Harper’s tesseract machine in an effort to stop distortions in time and space. Gold Trance and Beka appear before him. Trance tells Rhade that he shouldn’t damage the machine. When he is not convinced, Trance urges him to remember the past and how time has led up this point.

Rhade remembers back to the Nieztschean ambush at Hephaestus, during which he turned against Dylan and killed him. As Rhade prepares to dispose of his body, Andromeda informs him that they are going into the black hole. The Andromeda then becomes frozen in time on the edge of the black hole.

Three hundred years later, the Eureka Maru pulls the Andromeda free. As Rhade wakes up, he finds that the ship is being boarded. Andromeda refuses to acknowledge his commands. However, Rhade does promise her that if the people boarding the ship are from the Commonwealth, he will surrender.

Rhade finds Harper, who informs him that there is no more Commonwealth, and that the Nietzscheans also did not win the war begun at Hephaestus. Realizing that he killed his friend for nothing, Rhade recruits Trance Gemini, Beka Valentine, Harper, Rev Bem, and Tyr Anasazi for a mission to restore the Commonwealth.

Unexpectedly, Trance enters the slipstream and brings the ship to the Witchhead nebula. The Renewed Valour, a Commonwealth ship, arrives shortly after. Rhade decides to maintain radio silence but views the message that Captain Yezgar sends. Rhade discovers that they have gone back in time to just twenty-four hours before the battle of Witchhead, the final battle between the Commonwealth and the Nietzscheans.

Rhade decides that they should do nothing and slipstream back to their own time. However, as they are about to leave, the Nieztschean fleet three times the size of that which was at the original battle comes into the system.

While contemplating what to do, Rhade plays a game of Go with a holographic version of Dylan. The hologram advises Rhade to use one of Harper’s devices to destroy a huge part of the Nietzschean fleet.

Not wanting more death on his hands than he feels there needs to be, Rhade destroys the ships to save more lives in the long run.

Tyr is upset with Rhade’s decision, saying that he betrayed his own people. But Rhade believes that the Nietzscheans shouldn’t prey on the weak and kill for sport. While Rhade plays another Go game with holographic Dylan, they talk about how he has been unsuccessful in renewing the Commonwealth. Rhade doesn’t understand how the Magog threat isn’t enough to unite the worlds together.

Charlemagne Bolivar has been convincing potential worlds not to sign on because Rhade will not let any Nieztscheans into the commonwealth. However, he lets Tyr stay on board to keep him under surveillance. Dylan mentions the fact that Tyr has precious artifacts on board makes Andromeda more of a target.

Rhade calls Beka to talk about Tyr. She tells him that she can’t do anything, and that things have not worked out as she expected. She decides to leave the ship.

Soon after, Rhade goes to the storage area and finds Tyr bent over the body of Drago Museveni -- an enemy artifact. Tyr throws a shurican, trying to discourage Rhade, but he deflects it easily with his hand, though the defensive move has left a scar. Rhade then increases the gravity beneath Tyr’s feet and shoots him dead with his force lance.

Meanwhile, Magog eggs implanted in Harper on a previous mission begin to hatch. Harper plans to build a tesseract machine, which can fold time and space, to remove the eggs Harper requests that the ship go to Sinti so he can ask the Perseids for help building the machine.

Now, not only is Rhade loosing member worlds, but he has also lost half his crew and now Harper’s Magog eggs are beginning to hatch. At Harper’s request, they go to Sinti for help from the Perseids.

Beka returns to help Harper and be with him. He plans to build a machine that can fold time and space to get the eggs out.

While the machine is under construction, it creates time and space distortions which affect nearby Sinti. Harper tells Rhade that the distortions are coming from the time it was built, in the future. Unfortunately, the distortions are also happening on Sinti.

Meanwhile on the Eureka Maru, Beka fights off Kalderans while Purple Trance meets Gold Trance. Wanting a good future, the two Trances switch places.

Finally, Rhade finds the machine and prepares to destroy it. But just as he is about to shoot, Beka and Gold Trance appear before him. Trance informs him that Dylan is the one to reunite the commonwealth, not Rhade. To convince him, she predicts that Hohne, one of the Perseids working with Harper, will die in a few moments.

Rhade is not convinced, but decides to trust her after he is informed by Andromeda that Hohne has died.

Trance takes him back to the beginning, at Hephestis and leaves him to his destiny.

Rhade sees himself, in the past, passing through the corridor on his way to kill Dylan. Knowing that this is not the right future, Rhade kills his past self and dons his uniform.

As he walks onto the command deck, Rhade fires at Dylan and misses. Dylan fires back, killing Rhade. At that moment, the timeline goes back to normal and Dylan is back with Harper standing over his best friend’s body.

Harper does not like Rhade for what he did, but Dylan tells him not to judge. He would like to think that Rhade had the best intentions.

  11. Delenda Est
Andromeda gives Dylan a routine physical examination, the results of which are mostly fine, though she manages to give him a hard time about not being as fit as he used to be. Suddenly the view screen in the examination room switches to a recording of Dylan's final moments with his fiancee, Sara. The recording plays continuously, despiste Dylans best efforts.

Meanwhile, Rommie walks up to Harper in a corridor and grabs his arm saying it is for lie detection. She asks Harper if he has the ability to do "things" to her without her knowledge. Just as Rommies is twisting Harper's arm a bit more Harper looks past Rommie and sees a cat. He informs Rommie of this, but she doesn't believe him. As the cat starts to move they both follow it into a machine shop where, out of nowhere, a rift in space opens up and begins to suck in everything, including Harper. Suddenly the rift closes as suddenly as it had opened up.

Back in the examination room, Dylan is still trying to find a way out of when Beka bursts in. They both subsequently realize something strange is occuring and Dylan calls a shipwide meeting, ordering everyone to the bridge.

Trance is already on the bridge, where a recording of a sun exploding is playing continuously. Disturbed by the images, she tells Andromeda to shut it off. Tyr, saying he just saw his child sleeping soundly, arrives on the bridge along with the others.

Andromeda reports that there have been multiple attacks on nearby planets and outposts by Magog, Nietzscheans, and other groups of outlaws. The Andromeda also reports that there has been a garbled distress call from a ship in the vacinity but all she could make out was "nightmare, terror, and invisible." The cores of all the ships have been removed and just as fast as the chaos started it suddenly stopped.

Dylan, attempting to contact Rommie, is worried when she no longer responds, so he and the others search the ship. Tyr surmises that their invisible foe has caused Rommie's disappearance. As Dylan and Tyr split up another rift opens up near Tyr. Dylan shoots the singularity with his lance and it settles down.

Andromeda is finally able to contact Rommie, who is out seeking revenge against the invisible enemy. Rommie eventually finds them and the power source they are using to create the rifts. She fights them, but they overpower her and take her into captivity.

Dylan and Beka head to the Maru and search the nearby space around the Andromeda where Harper has detected an energy wave. After Dylan and Beka fire in that area, aliens suddenly appear and start attacking the Maru and Andromeda. Dylan and Beka bring the Maru back.

At another meeting on the bridge, Andromeda reports that she has located Rommie on an uninhabited planet with a series of complex tunnels. Tyr is content to leave Rommie on the planet, but he is overruled.

Dylan and Tyr take slipfighters to the planet's surface, where they work their way through terrain and fight with aliens en route to the power source. They end up near a door, and before Dylan can try to open it Tyr just shoots it open. Finding Rommie bound to part of the machine, they untie her and help her down. Rommie says that there is "something big" coming which is "in a hurry".

As a new rift is opening up near Andromeda, Rommie, Dylan and Tyr break up their weapons in order to make a bomb capable of destroying the machine. Meanwhilst Dylan tells Harper to fix his "jaws of life" to use again on the dimensional tunnels being opened by the aliens.

Rommie sets the bomb and they manage to escape in slipfighters. Dylan orders Harper to activate the device, and within seconds alien fire is bearing down on the Andromeda. The bomb then explodes and the tunnels begin to collapse. As the Andromeda moves away from the tunnels, an alien appears before Dylan, kneels, offers him a dagger and then collapses. Dylan exclaims "I guess we passed the test".

  12. The Dark Backward
As the show opens, we find Beka, Tyr and Harper dead, and the Andromeda has exploded.

We then see Trance, who is pruning a bonsai. “Okay. That did not work,” she says.

Suddenly we go back in time, all the way to a point when the Andromeda has just entered space from a slip portal. Everything is fine until the crew discovers something coming toward the ship. It doesn’t respond to hails, so Dylan orders it to be blown up. Missiles are launched, but they go right through the object like it wasn’t even there. Harper then reports an intruder, which starts ripping through wires. Soon it disappears and reappears on the command deck and shoots Beka.

Again, we see Trance pruning. She decides to explore a different scenario.

Time is reversed again, and we are back at the beginning. Everything is the same. Harper asks, “Did we invite any guests?” and the intruder starts ripping through wires. Harper is told to leave the intruder alone but doesn’t listen. The intruder shoots Harper, wounding him. Trance does everything possible to save him; meanwhile, Rommie tells Beka and Dylan that the intruder’s armor is over 12,000 years old, and it seems to be going backwards in time. Harper’s vitals become unstable and he dies. Trance re-lives that timeline again and again, but every time still ends with Harper dying. She has to try a different approach.

Time reverses yet again, with the same storyline unfolding, except this time Dylan tells Tyr to get the intruder. A fight ensues, Tyr is killed and the Andromeda explodes.

The time line repeats a fourth time, this time with Trance stopping Dylan from shooting at the incoming object by trying to explain what she knows, but as soon as she is done talking, the intruder drops from the ceiling and kills Dylan. Chaos reigns as Trance wanders the ship, thinking to herself. The Andromeda explodes.

Back in Trance’s own timeline, where she is pruning the bonsai, Trance decides that Harper is the most expendable person. Trance jumps back into the storyline and Harper dies. Trance and Dylan have a heart to heart. She asks Dylan how he can deal with choosing one life over another. After a thought, Dylan decides that he knows all, and orders Beka to move the ship into slip drive. While in the slipstream, the intruder can no longer disappear and reappear elsewhere on the ship, so Tyr tries to shoot it, but doesn’t have any effect. The intruder opens the slip tubes and Tyr shoots at it one last time. This only makes the intruder angry, and the Andromeda explodes.

Back in her own timeline, Trance can’t figure out how to stop the Andromeda from perishing. She decides that she has one last choice: Dylan.

The story rewinds to the beginning again. As soon as the missiles miss the intruder’s ship, Dylan orders the Andromeda back into slip drive. This seems to work until Rommie notices that there is an intruder on the ship. Dylan runs down to the belly of the ship and opens the a gigantic set of doors to the vaccuum of space, which tries to pull him off the ship. The intruder appears and plays with the switches that control the doors. Dylan uses his force lance to impale the intruder and send him flying into space. While Dylan hangs on with one arm, desperately trying not to be thrown into space, Trance suddenly appears, grabs his arm and pulls him to safety. Dylan closes the doors. Suddenly, the intruder reappears. Trance readies herself to fight but doesn’t need to. The intruder disappears as quickly as it appeared. Trance’s reasoning: “From its perspective, it still hasn’t found us yet.”

Trance explains to Dylan how she goes through millions of different scenarios every second. Dylan asks her how she can determine if anything is real. Trance replies that she can’t.

  13. The Risk All Point
On their way to a commissioning ceremony for the new High Guard ship, the Crimson Sunrise, Tyr jokes about Dylan's apparent love for the "pomp and circumstance" of such events. Dylan admits his pleasure at seeing a new ship finally launched after 307 years, especially one of the traditional Heritage Class design, like the Andromeda Ascendant. Tyr then mentions that rumor has it the Crimson Sunrise will be a more powerful ship than the Andromeda. Dylan responds saying he would have rather arrived aboard the Andromeda, but that Harper's modifications to the air scrubbers and waste extraction systems are currently making that impossible, adding that they'll just have to take "this bag of bolts." Beka, not surprisingly, chimes in over the Maru's comm system saying "i heard that!".

Beka then calls Dylan and Tyr to the cockpit. When she points out the approaching ships, Tyr says that the markings on the ship are those of the Kenja, a Nietzchean pride that only pick fights they know they can win. Seeing that the Kenja are on a direct course for the Crimson, Dylan suggests they slipstream to the new High Guard ship and warn them of the Kenja fighters only a short distance away.

When Dylan warns the Crimson Sunrise of potential traitors aboard his ship, the captain proclaims that all members of his crew are 100% loyal to the Commonwealth, all having undergone brainscans and DNA analysis for deception traits. Dylan suddenly receives a distress signal from aboard the Crimson. Subsequently, the captain orders everyone to evacuate. The Crimson Tide explodes.

When the debris clears, there are life pods floating all around the space once inhabited by the Crimson. Tyr suggests picking them up before the Kenja arrive and use the pods for target practice. Dylan orders Beka to open communications, and the Maru's crew then hears distress calls from the pods around them. The first one received is from a woman claiming to be Commonwealth Senator Balis.

Beka maneuvers the Maru to begin picking up the survivors. The first pod picked up is that of Senator Balis, who tells of the anarchy that took place on board the Crimson just prior to its sudden demise. Convinced the Neitzcheans are responsible, the Senator declares the first thing she is going to do when she gets home is to try to outlaw the Neitzcheans from the Commonwealth.

Beka informs Dylan privately that they must speed up the rescue effort because the escape pods will not protect the evacuees for long. She also tell him that if they take anymore pods the Maru won't be able to slipstream.

In another discussion, Tyr suggests that the cause of the Crimson Tide's demise was sabotage by Kenja masquerading as High Guard crew members. Knowing that the Kenja do not sacrifice themselves, Dylan and Tyr both fear that the saboteur may be aboard the Maru.

Dylan and Tyr are interrupted by a fight that has broken out among the evacuees. They quell it quickly, confiscating a number of weapons.

The Crimson Sunrise's Nietzschean first officer, Erin Shohashi, is brought aboard after the Maru receives a distress signal from her life pod. She claims that the cause of the Crimson's demise was human error, not sabotage.

Suddenly, a proton leak is detected in one of the pods in the cargo bay. Tyr and Erin go to find the pod and prevent it from exploding while Beka and Dylan go to check on the crew. Upon finding out Erin is Kenja, Beka suggests that Erin may, in fact, be the saboteur. When Erin and Tyr locate the pod, Erin attempts to enter the shut-down code but has no success. She then grabs hold of the power cables and absorbs the electrical current to prevent the pod from exploding. Believing Erin to be the saboteur, Dylan rushes to "save" Tyr but, upon finding out about her selfless act they reach the mutual conclusion that Erin is not the traitor.

Beka picks up a stray communication signal which she thinks could be Erin notifying the Kenja of their location. When Beka and Tyr find Dylan and Erin together, they suspect Erin of malicious intent. Dylan informs Beka that the signal she found was actually the Maru's old freighter codes, used to divert the Kenja fighters away from the Andromeda.

Suddenly, another brawl breaks out, and Erin, Tyr, Beka, and Dylan rush to break it up. The melee has gotten more violent this time, with Tyr forced to shoot one of the Crimson's crew. Another Crimson crew member, runs to go to the life pods, thinking he would be safer there. But his opening the bay doors to get to the pods causes the area from which he came to depressurize. Tyr and Dylan chase him to the pods but do not make it in time. Dylan and Tyr seek refuge in a life pod and are subsequently blasted into space.

Erin heads to the Maru's cockpit, and a power struggle between her and Beka ensues. The Kenja are circling back and Erin forbids Beka to answer Dylan's hail, for fear of alerting the Kenja to Dylan's location. Erin then flips on the Maru's distress signal. The Kenja fires on the Maru, and from Dylan and Tyr's perspective aboard the life pod, it appears that the Maru has been destroyed. But after the debris disperses, Dylan sees that the Maru is still in one piece. Beka had let loose the empty life pods that were clinging to the ship, causing them to explode, and making it appear that the Kenja were successful in their attempt on the Maru.

Now, Dylan and Tyr's pod is running out of life support. Taking a huge risk, Dylan suggests they channel every available antiproton to the aft reserve tank and add some oxygen and nitrogen, which would create a giant fusion candle. Pointing the pod "in the general direction of the Maru," Dylan lights the match.

Seeing the pod coming, Beka maneuvers the Maru to catch them in the cargo bay. Erin congratulates and thanks Beka on her success.

In the aftermath, it is revealed that "Senator" Balis is actually an impostor. The poser was just a janitor aboard the Crimson who wanted to save herself. Beka cites an official Commonwealth analysis of the Crimson Tide disaster, which concludes that the explosion was caused by a tiny comet striking the ship in a vulnerable spot, causing it to explode.

Erin walks in to say goodbye to Dylan. As Erin walks out, Beka makes fun of Dylan's relationship with Erin while Tyr laughs hysterically and Dylan blushes.

  14. The Right Horse
While Dylan (Kevin Sorbo) is away at the Sinti Stratgetic Defense Summit, Rommie (Lexa Doig), Trance (Laura Bertram) and Harper (Gordon Michael Woolvett) discuss the planet Veras where Beka (Lisa Ryder) is currently testifying at a trial for a friend who is accused of committing a crime. Rommie explains that lying has been eradicated from the Verasites' culture and that the inhabitants live in a world of absolute truthfulness.

At the Vera city prison, Tyr (Keith Hamilton Cobb) waits as Beka takes the stand in hopes of defending her friend, Able Ladrone (Chris Potter) for stealing DNA. In her testimony, Beka tries to give a positive spin to the accusations but is repeatedly caught lying by the polygraph machine’s beep. Her frustration grows with each beep until she’s had enough. Realizing Able has no chance in these people’s hands, Beka grabs a guard’s gun and breaks Able out. She informs the Andromeda of the situation as the three of them make a run for the Maru.

As the Maru docks on the Andromeda, Marshall Orac (Peter Bryant) of Veras Fugitive Retrieval is hailing the ship. They know Able Ladrone is aboard and demand his return or they will attack. The crew knows that Veras is part of Technocorps – a small system of companies manufacturing weapons and defense systems. If the Verasites attack, Technocorps is sure to step in. Andromeda is no match for their firepower and a fight would make the crew criminals in the eyes of the Commonwealth.

While discussing their options, Able inquires about a gadget Harper is fooling with on his belt. Harper hands it to Able and a small shock stings him when he takes it. Trance confronts Beka, upset that she is willing to put rest of the crew in danger for a man from her past. Beka argues that she is being a loyal friend, and stomps off, angry that she isn’t getting the same from her friends. She meets Able aboard the Maru and he tells her of the material he stole, that its curative uses are innumerable but it could be a dangerous weapon in the wrong hands. They plan their escape as they await Technocorps' impending arrival.

Rommie interrupts their conversation, calling Beka to Command. The Verasites are coming aboard and Beka cannot believe the crew is allowing them on. Rommie knows Technocore’s military is preparing to attack unless they give the Verasites an audience but Tyr will allow it only as soon as Able is locked in the brig. Beka refuses, deciding if the two of them leave, the rest of the crew will no longer be in danger. She and Able take the Maru to hide on the planet where they first met and Beka listens to him explain what he’s mixed up in. He tells her he has memorized some of the stolen information and the rest is camouflaged in nanobots imitating vital organs in his body. Only a few biotechs in the galaxy are capable of removing them without killing him.

While Marshall Orac and Lieutenant Lyra (Kristi Angus) are aboard the Andromeda learning of Ladrones’s escape, Harper examines a tiny cartridge from the gizmo that shocked Ladrone. The device has taken a sample of Ladrone’s DNA which Harper analyzes, gaining his first clue as to what Beka’s friend is carrying. As Harper works, Rommie and Tyr set off in Slipfighters to find the Maru before Technocorps does. Their departure comes just in time because as Beka and Able are sharing a moment, four Technocorps assassins come aboard the Maru. They get into a tight battle with Beka nearly getting herself shot when Rommie and Tyr show up to help. They defeat the assassins and Rommie pulls Beka aside to tell her that according to Harper’s analysis, Ladrone may not be who she thinks he is.

They return to the Andromeda and as Harper, Beka, and Rommie discuss who or what Ladrone may be, the Andromeda AI announces that dozens of Technocorps ships are heading toward the Andromeda. Beka and Able take the Maru attempting to even the odds and both ships begin taking fire. Beka relays a plan to Harper about using the plasma cannon to create “phantoms,” or energy echoes that will appear to the enemy as a bunch of cloaked ships.

The Andromeda is being hammered as Harper fires two salvos from the plasma cannon. Nothing happens at first and the enemy ships close for the kill. At the last second the Technocorps fighters all stop and turn as if to face ships behind them. About one hundred blips show up on the monitor, appearing to surround the closing fighters. Thoroughly distracted, the enemy fails to see Dylan sneak through in his Slipfighter. Beka also takes advantage of the lull to ask Able just what is really going on. He tells her his genetic components were experimented on while he was in prison, which is why his DNA is modified. Just then Harper calls them to Command; Technocorps has accepted what they think is Dylan’s proposition: returning Ladrone to Veras. In reality they have stage a mock fight in which Dylan shoots and kills him. The two emissaries that Technocorps sent are fooled by the show and they depart, satisfied that their secrets are safe. Beka, who was also fooled for the sake of the charade, is beside herself with grief over Able's death when Harper comes in with Able Ladrone who is very much alive. His secrets have given the Commonwealth more than enough information for them to investigate Technocorps’ dubious practices, and he and Beka are free to pursue their love.

  15. What Happens to a Rev Deferred?
Andromeda is in orbit around the planet Empyrium, supervising a planet-wide emergency evacuation. Unexplained geological forces are tearing the planet apart, and the total destruction of the planet seems certain. Nearing the end of the chaotic evacuation, one of the many fleeing ships unexpectedly reverses its course, and starts back toward the doomed world. Captain Dylan Hunt (Kevin Sorbo), orders Rommie (Lexa Doig) to hail the vessel. After failing to respond, the stray ship unexpectedly fires a shot at the Andromeda. Dylan calmly orders a warning shot to be fired back at her, and also orders Rommies to monitor the renegade ship's communication traffic to investigate their possible motives.

Trance Gemini (Laura Bertram) enters the bridge, and alerts the crew to the presence of an uncharted, brown dwarf star. The small rogue star has apparently re-ignited after a period of dormancy, and is now looming very close to the planet Empyrium. Rommie reports that she has locked onto a single communication signal. The crew witnesses the transmission, and soon realizes that it is Rev Bem (Brent Stait), their old crewmate and friend, sending a plea for rescue from the dying world of Empyrium below.

Tyr Anasazi (Keith Hamilton Cobb) reports to Dylan that the renegade vessel is continuing its retrograde course toward the planet. While this is happening, Beka Valentine (Lisa Ryder), and Seamus Harper (Gordon Michael Woolvett) are listening to Rev Bem's farewell message from more than a year ago. They realize that Rev's spiritual search for the Way has led him here, and that now he is in need of their help.

The crew decides that the renegade vessel's probable destination coincides with the source of Rev's distress transmission. Dylan quickly decides to go to the surface to help his friend. He orders Harper to stay aboard Andromeda, but before Dylan departs the Andromeda, Rommie informs him that a point singularity bomb embedded somewhere on Empyrium is the reason for the planet's severe instability.

Tyr and Beka accompany Dylan to the surface of the earthquake-ridden planet in the Eureka Maru. Meanwhile, Rev is being urged forward on his quest for spiritual redemption from his evil Magaog nature. Dylan arrives with Beka, and Tyr, and they soon locate the device that has been transmitting Rev's distress signal. Rev is nowhere in sight.

A shining entity appears before Rev in the form of a woman. Rev believes this to be his long-dead mother, but instead of accepting his apologies for killing her during his birth, she torments him and makes him continue chasing after his desires. She tells him to despise himself for the suffering he has caused. She then listens to his tormented apologies and pleas for forgiveness, but doesn't initially seem to believe him. She questions his Magog nature and his prior service to the Spirit of the Abyss. Rev experiences flashbacks of his people's evil history as well as flashbacks of his own participation in their evil.

Meanwhile, Beka, Tyr and Dylan encounter the renegades who preceded them to the surface of the planet. Dylan attempts to talk the renegades out of a fight, but he is unsuccessful. After furious weapon fire and some intense hand-to hand-combat, the Andromeda crew overcomes the renegade band.

The brown dwarf star is now shining brightly above Empyrium. It becomes clear that the star is not on a rogue course, but connected with the entity that is communicating with Rev. The entity listens to Rev's final agonized pleas. He tells her that he has overcome his evil nature, that he no longer serves the Abyss and that he is more than just another evil Magog. Rev declares his goodness to her. She declares that she can give him what he wants most -- that she will celebrate his birth. Rev is drawn toward a cliff, where the star's power appears to be at its greatest.

Beka spots Rev up on the cliff, and points him out to Dylan and Tyr. Before they arrive, the entity apparently agrees that Rev deserves a chance without the constraints of being Magog and emits a bright burst of energy that physically transforms Rev into something new. When Dylan and crew arrive at Rev's location, they don't recognize their friend at first. It's not until Rev speaks with his distinctive voice that they realize who he is -- and that he has truly been physically altered. He is not quite human, but definitely no longer Magog.

They all escape the violently shaking planet in the Maru, and gather together on the bridge of Andromeda for a reunion -- and apparently, another farewell. Dylan asks Rev to stay on Andromeda, but even though Rev feels the friendship of his old crew mates tugging at him to stay, he decides to continue his Wayist journey alone.

The planet and star appear to collide, but there is no explosion or real destruction seen by Andromeda's crew. Only a larger ring of light is visible. Harper says that the point singularity and star must have canceled each other out, but Dylan is convinced that something bigger and much more important just occurred. Dylan thinks that it was a true miracle, and when the crew looks at Rev Bem's transformation, Dylan doesn't hear anyone arguing the point with him.

  16. Pont Of The Spear
The Andromeda AI (Lexa Doig) informs the crew that Pyrian ships are dropping fusion-powered generators on the planet Samsarra, making the planet unable to support oxygen-breathing life. The Andromeda launches ground missiles and successfully destroys the generators on the planet. Dylan (Kevin Sorbo) plans to protect the planet by organizing a fleet to form a blockade, but the Pyrians begin advancing towards the Andromeda leaving limited time to implement the plan. Trance (Laura Bertram) notices dropships carrying fresh atmosphere generators heading towards Samsarra.

The Andromeda is being fired upon when the Pyrians send a message to the crew. An elfin woman appears on the TAC display; her name is Azazel (Jody Thompson). Trance studies her as she presents Dylan with an ultimatum. They must withdraw from Samsarra or be destroyed. Trance subtly sinks into the shadows. As the Pyrians continue to fire AG packets, which are slowing down the ship, Dylan notices Trance does not look well. She explains to Dylan she feels wrong then quickly reports she is simply sick. Dylan dismisses her while Tyr (Keith Hamilton Cobb) suspects she is hiding something. Tyr follows her and questions her symptoms.

Dylan instructs the slipfighters to blockade the planet so that no Pyrian ship can get inside. As the fleet gets closer, the Andromeda fires at them but it’s not enough to stop them. They launch ground-attack missiles at Samsarra. Dylan instructs Rommie to inform the colonists of the attack and evacuate the planet immediately.

AG mass packets continue to bombard the ship making it almost immobile. The Andromeda informs Dylan the mission to evacuate will take 3 hours to complete. Dylan is determined to hold on.

Two Pyrian torch ships break off from the fleet and move to engage the Andromeda. Dylan refuses to gamble with civilian lives by attacking them so he tells the crew to let them come. As the torch ships edge closer, Rommie updates the crew on the status of the evacuation. She suddenly reports the cavalry has arrived. Dylan is relieved to hear a High Guard battle group along with warships from the Commonwealth member worlds are on the way.

Beka (Lisa Ryder) arrives on deck after piloting the slipfighter team that was protecting Samsarra. When the crew is told that one of the transports is having difficulty evacuating, Beka offers to rescue them in the Maru. Tyr goes instead.

All the while, Trance sits in her quarters in the Maru until Tyr enters and demands her help in the cockpit. Tyr pilots the Maru to the Samsarran atmosphere to look for the transport ship. Tyr asks Trance to report their distance, when she doesn’t reply Tyr sternly instructs her to focus. She apologizes and deploys the cables to connect with their target. The Maru has secures the ship and punches back into deep space. On their way back to the Andromeda, the Pyrians begin firing AG mass packets at the Maru to slow it down. With the transport ship attached, the Maru does not have enough power to make it back to the Andromeda. Tyr uses maximum force on the Maru’s engines allowing them to gain speed. As they reach a slip point, Trance cuts the cables releasing the transport ship and letting inertia carry them on. The Pyrians begin to withdraw as the High Guard fleet corrals them. The Maru returns safely.

Beka finds Trance sitting in her quarters staring at her tree. Beka senses something is wrong with Trance as she discusses what is on her own mind. As Beka exits, Trance realizes what she has to do.

Back at command, Dylan gives the Pyrians an ultimatum: Withdraw from the ship or be destroyed. Dylan informs the crew of his plan to make the Pyrians surrender. As the Andromeda and fighters get into position, Dylan puts his plan into play. The Andromeda AI reports the command ship has been destroyed and Dylan realizes they were ambushed. Somehow, it’s as if the Pyrians knew what they were planning ahead of time. Azazel appears on the monitor telling Dylan to rethink his approach to the situation or the ending result will be catastrophic. The Andromeda withdraws to the outer solar system and allows the Pyrians to take Samsarra.

Rommie and Dylan discuss how the Pyrians seem to be one step ahead of them. In command, the Andromeda hologram discovers a high pitch whine above the chatter and electronic signals coming across the TAC display. Tyr tunes into it and the hologram reports the signal is coming from inside the Andromeda.

A high guard courier hails the crew and Admiral Hamsa (Robert Clarke) appears on the screen. He reports Pyrian fleets have been discovered across three Galaxies and this could mean war.

Tyr confronts Trance in her quarters about her not feeling well and informs her that she’s been caught sending messages to the Pyrians. Trance claims the messages were to her family.

The Pyrians continue to fire low velocity standoff weapons at the Andromeda and High Guard fleet. Dylan and the crew discuss the few options they have in order to survive the standoff and possibly help Samsarra. Trance butts in telling Dylan he must stop the Pyrians immediately no matter what the consequences may be -- even if they are unsuccessful in their efforts. One of Trance’s people is in the system and assisting the Pyrians. The woman, Azazel, can also sense the future and Trance explains it looks pretty grim.

Dylan instructs the crew and fleet to not abandon the system and hold position while Beka and crews of fighters attempt to punch a hole in the Pyrian line. The Andromeda and fleet are able to get through the gap and fire upon Samsarra until it is completely obliterated.

Shortly thereafter, Azazel appears on the monitor and offers to open negotiations over the status of all disputed worlds. The Pyrians are ready to bargain and war seems to be averted for now.

  17. Vault Of The Heavens
Dylan (Kevin Sorbo) is sleeping while the Andromeda is running its monthly diagnostic check. Harper (Gordon Michael Woolvett) is at the helm, reveling in his victory after racing a Nietzschean cruiser. The cruiser pilot Agio (Aleks Paunovic) is challenging him to one more dash for the nearest slip-point when Trance (Laura Bertram) walks in. Harper brags he can win using “Harper’s Afterburner,” his own technique of a high-pressure injection of anti-protons into the accelerator tanks. Trance opens the valve and the Andromeda leaves the Nietzschean cruiser in the proverbial dust. They barely have time to celebrate when the alarm sounds. The valve is stuck open and the ship is in danger of exploding. Just as they exit the slipstream to deal with the problem, they receive a far-off signal on the comm. The distance is so great that the signal should be old, but Rommie (Lexa Doig) tells them it was sent only two hours ago.

Meanwhile Dylan has been jerked awake by the alarms and is being brought up to date by Andromeda when he hears an unfamiliar voice whispering. He is alone in the room but clearly hears a female voice beckoning him.

The crew is in the conference room discussing the signal the Andromeda picked up. Rommie has determined the source to be a global cluster beyond known space. Tyr (Keith Hamilton Cobb) points out that they must travel through hostile Nietzschean territory to get there. As Dylan tells them of the voice, he hears it again but nobody else does. It whispers “fire… ice.…. a cloud” and he relays it to Rommie who confirms there are planets in the cluster with a similar description. A giant, fiery planet called Ymir with an icy moon. They set a course for the distant planet.

Beka (Lisa Ryder) pilots the way to Ymir as she is eager to see the planet’s amazing auroras that occur when a particle cloud washes over the ice moon. This phenomenon happens only once every 800 years and is now about thirty-six hours away. The signal gets stronger as they get closer and Rommie determines the inhospitable moon to be the source. Dylan hears the whisper once more and decides to leave Tyr in charge and take the Maru to the moon to investigate.

Rommie, Beka, Trance and Harper are with Dylan, navigating their way through a labyrinth of ice tunnels. A whisper guides them. This time they all can hear it. They enter a chamber with a large cocoon in the middle. Trance lays a hand on it and tells the others that whatever is inside is dying. Rommie reads it to have about thirty hours left, coinciding exactly with the approaching particle cloud. Dylan contacts Tyr and asks him to divert the cloud as the group rounds a corner to the mouth of the cave, looking down upon a huge city. The whispers beckon as they make their way down to the city’s deserted crystal streets. Five aliens appear as if out of the walls, they communicate with the same telepathic whispers, thanking everyone for coming. As the startled crew lowers their weapons, the aliens attack, rendering all unconscious except Dylan and Rommie. The two return fire to no effect; the aliens overwhelm Rommie and capture Dylan.

Tyr attempts to create a graviton field using the ship’s shields to push the particle cloud away from the moon. Against Andromeda’s advice, and at the expense of her defense systems, he splices two cables together -- accidentally electrocuting himself and causing him to pass out. When he comes to, Andromeda tells him the cloud has not dispersed and she cannot reach Dylan and the crew on the comm. Tyr convinces Andromeda their only option to save the crew on the moon is to destroy the cloud with an EMP bomb but the emitter was damaged during the first effort to stop the cloud. Just then, Andromeda detects Agio’s cruiser behind them.

Dylan wakes up to find himself tied down in front of an ice-cocoon. The woman’s voice is speaking to him telling him she is the queen of her kind and she needs him to save her people. Suddenly, a woman-like creature emerges from the cocoon. The rest of the crew come to their senses but are too disoriented to be of much help. Rommie breaks free of the silk-like alien bonds and they begin to work out a plan to save Dylan, who is being toyed with by the Queen (Helene Joy). She informs him that she must mate when the cloud envelops the moon, giving her people the energy they need to live. She explains if the cloud does not collide with the moon, her race will die. Dylan knows he’s got an angle for escape.

Agio is curious about the crew’s interest in the moon. Tyr agrees to tell him on the condition he fires an EMP bomb into the cloud. He agrees, but as the bomb speeds towards the cloud, the Andromeda shakes from a blow from the Nietzschean cruiser. The crew has not answered him about their interest in the moon so he is forcing it out of them. The Andromeda turns to attack when the bomb explodes inside the cloud, destroying it.

The Queen realizes something has happened and Dylan tells her the Andromeda has diverted the cloud. He promises he can reverse what has just happened if she releases him. The Queen refuses because she has no choice but to mate or her race will die. Aboard the Andromeda, Tyr realizes Agio has used the attack as a distraction while he slipped away to the moon. He is unable to warn Dylan because the Queen has blocked all communication. Dylan is in the midst of negotiating his release when the crew rushes to his aid with weapons raised. He orders them to stand down. Dylan tells the Queen that she’ll spawn an unjust race born of coercion and convinces her to let him go. She restores communication with his ship and releases him.

Instead of getting up, he dismisses the crew and orders the Andromeda to return the cloud to its course. Before they can solve the problem, Agio appears and shoots at Dylan. They disarm each other and fight blow for blow. Agio has overheard the whole scenario and wants to father his own race with the Queen. Dylan beats him down but Agio pulls a remote, threatening to destroy the entire moon with gamma-ray bursts from his cruiser. Dylan is able to shoot it out of his hand. Agio knows his gamma-ray emitter is over-loaded and ready to vaporize his ship. Dylan is aware of this and knows that the aftermath of the ship's vaporization will restore the particle cloud. He orders Andromeda to fire gravitons at the cruiser, purposely overloading the weapon. The cruiser is hit with gravitons, vaporizing it and sending the charged leftover particles on a course for the moon. Dylan knocks Agio out with a rock and the Queen takes his hand. Together they become one, she begins to glow and is transformed into a ball of energy that shoots away from the moon and collides with the planet. Her energy spreads around the ice labyrinth, once again bringing all her people to life.

Tyr visits Agio in the Andromeda brig. Agio knows Tyr has stolen Drago’s bones and attempts to bribe him for their return. The problem is Tyr hasn’t stolen them, they are his birthright and he leaves Agio to suffer alone in his cell.

Dylan is admiring the effect of the Queen, the aurora on the planet that is now filled with humans. He stays until the aurora, the vault of the heavens, fades.

  18. Deep Midnights Voice
As the Andromeda escorts a convoy of Commonwealth commercial vessels through space, fleets of high-tech ships are detected moving in their direction. Rommie reports the ships are battle cruisers and Geruda Fighters of which Dylan realizes some are Nietzscheans and Drago-Kazov. The crew watches as the Dragans begin to attack a smaller fleet of Nietzscheans. Realizing the convoy is not being targeted, Dylan instructs Rommie to keep them out of harm’s way and prepare the entire group for slipstream. The display shows three ships have suddenly sped off from the battle with one on a collision course with the Andromeda as it’s being chased. Dylan instructs Rommie to hail the ship but there is no response. As the crew plots an intercept course and cuts in front of the Nietzschean fighter being chased, it halts for a moment and then fires on them. The Andromeda destroys the fighter while the other ship continues towards them. Cables lock the vessel as it approaches and Dylan requests that the pilot be brought in for questioning.

The pilot, Gaiton, looks up at Tyr as he enters and notices that he, too, is Nietzschean. Gaiton explains the Dragans were attacking his fleet because they believe the Nietzscheans have Deep Midnight’s Voice -- an old Nietzschean slip-scout device. Supposedly, before the Fall, a fleet of them existed and mapped every meter of the slipstream. Reluctant to believe Gaiton, Tyr explains the rumor amongst his people of a project that could map the cosmos. Together, Dylan and Tyr both realize the danger of the Dragans finding the probe.

Harper presents to the crew information on a 3-D schematic of a slip-scout and celestial map. A slip-scout’s ability to choose the correct route on a slipstream is 50-50. An Organic’s intuition raises that ability to 85% and the navigational chart recorded in the probe pushes the predictability to 99%, making a valid map of the slipstream.

The Andromeda rides the slipstream rails as Rommie searches for the location of Deep Midnight’s Voice. Not alone, Dylan sees a fleet of enemy ships following them on the strands of the slipstream. Harper launches the GFG’s from the Andromeda which rips apart the rails making the enemy think they simply took a wrong turn.

The Andromeda is spit out into a remote system with various glowing planets including a nearby gas giant. Rommie discovers that Deep Midnight’s Voice crashed into a tiny planet. The signal detected is a pre-Fall signature on the planet which she believes is the probe’s transponder. Rommie reports that humans inhabit the planet. They believe they are alone in the universe. The crashed probe is understood to be an “alien myth” that claims the probe crashed in a remote backcountry region on an isolated shelf remaining undiscovered.

Dylan prepares the Maru for their search and Rommie explains to him the risks of a First Contact mission. One miscommunication could send things into chaos. Harper has made passports and papers for Dylan, Beka, Tyr and Gaiton stating they are from the country of North Sodzee and equips them each with an emulator patch that can translate the language.

The Maru arrives on the tiny planet where Dylan, Beka, Tyr and Gaiton begin the search. Two humans emerge from the brush and are greeted as “friends” by Gaiton. Beka fakes an injury as Dylan asks the woman, Tori, for their assistance. She informs him the man with her is Dr. Henry Semel, who is familiar with basic anatomy. Dylan explains to Tori they are adventure tourists from North Sodzee as the good-looking Dr. Semel works on Beka’s leg injury. Tori invites them back to the conservatory so that Beka can get some water and medicine.

Tyr and Gaiton slip away and move toward the probe. Gaiton studies Tyr and chastises him for “serving” a Kludge. Gaiton reveals he is a spy for the Drago-Kazov who has been sent to find Tyr and give him their simple answer –“yes.”

In the Observatory Dylan is introduced to Amory Sutton, the resident government grouch. Suddenly his bracer glows with information and Dylan notices Tori looking at him, shocked. It’s obvious the bracer isn’t familiar technology. Off to a corner, Dylan informs Beka that Nietzscheans are in the system and that Tori saw his Bracer.

Dylan attempts to quietly explain the slipstream to Tori and she wants to know more. He demands that she tells no one but unbeknownst to him or her, Sutton is listening to every word.

Whispering into the phone, Sutton explains he needs immediate containment. Unexpectedly, Dylan is handcuffed and two soldiers surround him and Beka. Sutton tells Dylan that he must stay to answer his questions and Dylan and Beka fight back. Sutton now finds himself handcuffed to a desk. Tori runs out with Dylan and Beka.

Later, Tyr and Gaiton are staring down the remains of a crashed slip-scout. He suggests to Gaiton that they bury their brothers’ remains. As they finish burying the bodies; both men give the Nietzschean salute. Out of nowhere, four soldiers appear with guns raised. Tyr sets down the carefully wrapped probe after which he and Gaiton fight the militiamen.

Dylan, Beka and Tori arrive at the scene where Tyr and Gaiton just battled the soldiers. Beka receives confirmation on her bracer that Nietzscheans are headed to the planet. Dylan wonders if Gaiton tipped them off….or someone else. They immediately head back to the Maru as Tori persistently begs Dylan to help and explain what is going on. Beka alerts Dylan that Tyr has sent her a coded transmission that he and Gaiton are waiting at the Maru.

Gaiton discusses a rumor of the existence of genetic reincarnation of Drago. As he acts truthful to Tyr and explains that the fighting must stop between their Prides he begins to preach about collaborating together. If he and Tyr possess the map inside the probe, they can resurrect Drago under their control and conquer the universe; in other words, they could be gods. Tyr advances towards Gaiton with hands moving to grab his neck.

Trance and Harper are on the Andromeda as it faces off with a small Nietzschean battle cruiser. On the comm, Trance suggests the cruiser not go near the planet or it will signify that war has been declared on the Commonwealth and its allies. No one replies on the other end and as the cruisers seem to be moving toward a transit point, it quickly changes course and heads toward the planet. Trance assumes they have detected the probe.

When Beka, Dylan and Tori arrive at the Maru, Tyr and Gaiton are gone. Beka wonders if they are hiding something. Dylan’s bracer lights up and Trance informs them a Nietzschean battle cruiser is closing in on their location. Dylan will not leave without the probe. He tells Trance they must wait. Finally, Tyr appears holding the wrapped probe. Gaiton is nowhere in sight and claims he went “native.” They prepare for launch as Dylan hands Tori a flexi before leaving, suggesting she become familiar with it.

The Maru arrives safely on the Andromeda and the hologram informs Dylan that he isn’t the first person to make contact with the probe. Someone has made a copy. According to reports, the Drago-Kazov have already made three First Contacts to establish bases in case of war.

Meanwhile, Tyr is in his quarters studying the exact same hologram that he copied when alone with the probe. Dylan stands in the doorway seeing this and suggests a chat.

  19. The Illusion Of Majesty
The Andromeda lands in the Prolon system after exiting the slipstream because of heavy turbulence. The galaxy consists of toxic waste, oil slicks and garbage moons. Tyr claims the locals are morons whose livelihood consists of accepting hazardous waste from other systems. Dylan instructs Beka to exit the garbage-filled area but she is unable due to the radioactive waste that is blocking the navigational system of the Andromeda.

The Andromeda’s sensors pick up a hibernation capsule whose distress signal is disarmed but is being chased by three armed ships. As the capsule is magnified on the command screen, Dylan sees an occupant. He suggests an attempt to rescue.

As the Andromeda moves towards the capsule, three Prolon Royal ships emerge and fire an energy burst at the ship. Rommie reports a corrosive material is eating through the decks because of the toxic waste in the weaponry being used. It’s highly flammable and if by chance a missile chain-ignites, the entire system could incinerate. The toxins begin to seep through to the command center, spilling all over Beka’s control panel. Preparing for a full rupture any second, Dylan instructs Rommie to reverse the artificial gravity on the deck above them so the corrosive goop drips back up the way it came. The Andromeda reaches the capsule. Immediately, a Prolon Royal Consul appears on the screen demanding the release of the capsule or the firing will continue. The crew seems to have brought aboard the princess of the Royal House of Prolon. As Dylan and the crew discuss their next move, an image appears on the display of Princess Tura. Rommie reports she is the most popular of the royal family and beloved by millions. Apparently, she disappeared as a child during a revolution and was assumed dead. One year ago she resurfaced in a remote convent.

Dylan approaches Tyr’s quarters as the door suddenly slides open. Tyr states the answer is no before Dylan can even get the question out. He claims he wants nothing to do with the Prolon people because they are impoverished, gullible liars.

Dylan receives notification that the Prolon Royal Delegation is requesting to board and see their princess. Knowing the Andromeda is unable to navigate out of the system, he needs their help in getting out so he must let them board. Tyr slams the door shut claiming he will remain in his quarters until they have exited the Prolon System.

Trance administers a hypo to the unconscious princess who appears to be in a self-induced coma. As the princess begins to awaken, the Royal Consul (John Innes) enters with four soldiers and a Royal Handmaiden. They all bow to Princess Tura as she demands to know who rescued her. She slaps Dylan as he steps forward to take the credit. Dylan explains how the Andromeda aborted slipstream and ended up in their system. The princess offers a fleet to escort the Andromeda to the edge of the Prolon System. In private, Tura explains where she was heading in the capsule. Dylan discovers Tura is impersonating a dead princess and getting her chance to get ahead with the Royal Family.

Andromeda’s path is cut off by a cathedral-like ship that is armed and battle-ready. An energy ball of garbage is shot at the Andromeda as the ship rocks from the hit. Three Prolon monks appear on the command screen claiming their goddess Hajin Na is onboard the ship. Dylan is told to surrender her or they will all die. He invites them on the ship telling them their goddess wishes them to come aboard. When Tura finds out the monks are coming onboard she demands to return to her home planet immediately and takes back her offer to provide navigation out of the Prolon System. Dylan greets the monks and escorts them to the conference room where he promises they will meet their goddess.

It is revealed that Tura’s real name is Lorina Blodgett and is considered one of the most elusive criminals in the Prolon System with a rap sheet consisting of scams, arrests, and warrants from five systems. Knowing she has been captured, the Ministry of Justice has set a course for the Andromeda. When Tura realizes this, she discusses a new deal with Dylan. The Ministry of Justice has no sympathy for Royals. She stole from the Royal Family what they had stolen from their people. She offers Dylan fifty percent of the stash if he helps her disappear.

The ministry of Justice arrives on the docking bay as Dylan leads Tura to face her crimes. She is found guilty and sentenced to death. Tura desperately begs Dylan for help. She agrees to take him to her stash if he helps in freeing her.

The monks are impatient in seeing their princess and decide to fire upon the Andromeda. Dylan flatly tells them their goddess in an impostor. They refuse to believe this and fight to rescue her. As Dylan, Beka and Harper battle, Tyr appears and is able to calm the monks with strange words and phrases of enlightment and emotions.

Dylan decided to talk to the Royal House of Prolon to help get Tura off the hook. The King explains she must die for deceiving the Royal Family. Dylan suggests the King use his influence to get her case dismissed and he will see to it that the stolen money is returned to the family. The King refuses the offer.

Tura stands accused in front of the Judge (Marie Stillin). Charged with impersonation and theft, she must enter into arguments with the Prosecutor (Paul Lazenby). As her representative, Dylan steps forward to “discuss” her case, a cage encloses him and the prosecutor, and they begin to battle. Court is now in session.

Meanwhile, Harper and Tyr are in the judge’s logic center attempting to hack in to the wiring and control the android judge so that the fighting will stop. Dylan knocks the prosecutor out because Harper is able to re-wire the judge. The judge "declares" a mistrial stating insufficient cause.

Sticking to her deal, the princess prepares to confess to her public. As she enters the conference room to make her speech, her Veil of Repentance is lifted and the Handmaiden is revealed. Tura has taken off on the Maru, deceiving Dylan.

Tura arrives at the Garbage Moon to gather her haul of stolen goods. Beka appears from the shadows and takes her back to the Andromeda that is now being fired upon by Prolon ships. Dylan forces Tura to give her confession before the assembled diplomats via broadcast. She states since the Prolon System was dying of poverty, she was forced to steal the wealth from the Royal Family and the Prolon Order of Monks in order to give it back to her people. When finished, she agrees to escort Dylan and the crew to the edge of the Prolon System. The crew plans to distribute the wealth that Tura stole on their way out.

  20. Twilight Of The Idols
Dylan and Tyr (Keith Hamilton Cobb) search a cave in the desert world of Amarna looking for the Quachic Pride of the Nietzscheans. A Genite fire team ambushes them. Gunfire and grenades explode around Dylan and Tyr as they realize they are trapped. More Genites advance on the scene when an explosion occurs wiping out the reinforcements. Four figures approach from the shadows and shift their fire to the Genite squad across the grotto. Constantine Stark (Michael Ironside) instructs his soldiers to take armor and equipment from the Genites but claim no prisoners. Dylan thanks them for their assistance as the Stark informs them he saw the same intelligence report they did and realized the Genites were on the move again. With their ship badly damaged, Dylan invites them onto the Andromeda

The Andromeda flies through deep space as the soldiers are taken to the med deck. Stark, who says his troops call him The Patriarch, informs Dylan that his ancestor Admiral Constanza Stark founded the guerilla army he now commands -- the Templars. Dylan acknowledges that he knew Admiral Stark. The Patriarch says the Templars have been wandering the Known Worlds for 300 years battling Nietzscheans and Genites. Dylan is confused because he has wandered the same worlds trying to keep peace and has never run into the Patriarch and his soldiers. According to the Patriarch, he and his men have been the force behind the scenes of the many battles Dylan and the crew has been in.

In Dylan’s quarters, the Andromeda hologram plays a message from the Minister of War’s office. The assistant Minister of War, Jane Rollins (Sarah Jane Redmond), appears on the screen and explains the Patriarch has connections to at least twenty signatory worlds, although none will admit that he even exists. Off the record, she confirms the full support and blessing from the Systems Commonwealth if any action is taken against the Genites by Dylan and the Patriarch.

In the hangar deck, Dylan finds the Patriarch going over fighter schematics on a wall monitor and reviewing damage reports. He explains that he heard Dylan’s conversation with Rollins and wants to get ready for their fight with the Genites. Dylan wonders why the Patriarch has come to him to team up. The Patriarch explains the Genites already know his tactics, troops and equipment. But having Dylan on his side might throw them off. Regardless, the Patriarch assures Dylan his troops will act upon the Genites, however, it’s up to Dylan whether it be now or later. Dylan senses a familiarity with the Patriarch as he uses phrases similar to those of Dylan’s old friend Admiral Stark.

Dylan, Harper and Beka (Lisa Ryder) are studying an asteroid on the TAC display as the Andromeda (Lexa Doig) reports there is an alleged Genite research facility in an asteroid in the Fenris System. Dylan plans to execute a covert operation to the location, enter the lab, confirm the Templars' intel and act accordingly. The Patriarch and his troops can be the extraction team if something goes wrong.

As Dylan clears the deck of everyone but staff, the Patriarch begins to explain to the crew about the asteroid and bioweapons research facility. The Genites have used the place to further their agenda in destroying the universe by developing a virus that specifically targets humans who have been genetically engineered. The virus is airborne, highly contagious and one hundred percent lethal. It can destroy the human race.

The Patriarch approaches Tyr and explains his disappointment that he will not be joining them on the trip to the research facility, since he is a Nietzschean. As Tyr walks off, the Patriarch tells Dylan that his kinship with Tyr can only end in one way -- badly.

Piloted by Beka, the Maru launches and is flanked by Templar fighters. It emerges from slipstream into the Fenris System. Beka reaches the first drop point and the Patriarch and Templars exit. Next stop is Dylan and Rommie (Lexa Doig) exiting in the drop pod.

Dylan and Rommie reach the biohazard containment unit. An alarm sounds as the blast doors begin to close. Four Genites appear at the other end of the room as Dylan and Rommie take cover. They are trapped. Dylan calls for help on his comm and the Patriarch, who is elsewhere in the facility, instructs his troops to rescue Dylan and Rommie.

A huge explosion rocks the lab and the debris takes out the Genites. The Patriarch and Templars enter as a wounded Genite fires from the floor. The Patriarch is hit and goes down. Rommie checks his vitals and reports he’s alive but unable to move. Dylan instructs Rommie to secure a perimeter around the lab as gunfire and shouting can be heard in the distance. A medic repairs the Patriarch’s body by fitting a flesh-like patch over the damaged area of his body.

Back on Andromeda, several Genite ships begin closing in. An image of a Genite commander appears on the TAC display ordering Tyr and Harper (Gordon Michael Woolvett) to surrender and allow the Genites to board. Tyr begins to fire a missile barrage from the ship and each Genite target is eventually hit.

In the corner of the research lab, Dylan and Rommie await Beka and the Maru. Rommie analyzes the data from the Genite computers confirming the virus but found out the data was faked. Suddenly a message is received from Beka on the comm indicating that Genites appear to be throughout system, making her unable to reach them.

The Patriarch approaches Dylan and Rommie. He is restored from his injury and discusses his “Plan B” with Dylan. Rommie sarcastically confronts the Patriarch about the Genite data core and how he had planned to modify the virus to make it more selective. Dylan realizes the Patriarch was planning to wipe out the entire Nietzschean race with the virus. He is amazed by this because long ago, Admiral Stark’s reason for creating the Templars was to preserve the ideal of the High Guard and not commit genocide as the Patriarch is doing. The Patriarch claims that Admiral Stark changed her mind after watching Nietzscheans rampage across the Known Worlds leaving devastation in their tracks. Dylan questions the Patriarch about Admiral Stark being alive. The Patriarch responds that he is Admiral Stark. The Patriarch/Admiral Stark explains that he’s lost several lives, but each time the Templars supplied him with a new body.

Dylan is not sure what or whom the Patriarch really is but one thing is for certain, he must make sure the Patriarch leaves without the containment unit. With implied threats, the Patriarch reveals a small transceiver from his belt that connects to a surveillance chip he planted on the Maru. One touch of a button, an explosion will occur destroying the Maru and Beka. He instructs Dylan to think about what he has just said.

Later, as the Maru races through slipstream, Dylan and Rommie study the Patriarch’s surveillance chip. Dylan cannot understand how his mentor, Admiral Stark, wants the Nietzscheans wiped out. Although she could be ruthless and cold, she was still good.

The Maru arrives at the Andromeda and Tyr greets Dylan to brief him. Dylan learns that the Templars' strike against the Genite outpost in Heimdall revealed more intel on their plans and operations. In the Genite archives were historical records showing the Genites are a splinter group of the Templars that broke away two hundred years ago to pursue a radical agenda of total genetic purity. The person credited with existence of the Genites was none other than Admiral Stark.

Dylan decides to strategically withdrawal. He commands everyone to their battle stations; he knows where the Patriarch and Templars didn’t go. Andromeda emerges from slipstream with battle blades out. The Andromeda reports they have arrived in Heimdall. Several Genite scouts appear to be within their combat radius. Beka fires a missile barrage on the Genite scouts. As the Genites begin firing back, Alexandros (D. Neil Mark) appears on the monitor screen threatening them. The Andromeda goes into slipstream in hopes the Genites will follow. Dylan and Rommie board the Maru.

The Maru cruises toward the Genite asteroid field. Rommie points at the blip on the TAC display revealing a Templar fighter. Evidently, the Patriarch doubled back to the weapons research center. Dylan instructs Rommie to cut the power so they may continue undetected through the asteroids. Meanwhile, Beka is piloting the Andromeda and firing upon the fighters.

Dylan and Rommie arrive at the research center as the Patriarch is ordering his fighters to disable and destroy the Andromeda. Dylan surprises him and informs him the Genites will be coming out of slipstream at any moment and will most likely kill whichever one of them is left. The Patriarch has captured the facility for his use and questions whether Dylan would really allow the Genites to reclaim it. In all actuality, Dylan would like to blow the facility to hell. The Patriarch talks into the comm and orders the Templars to shift fire away from the Andromeda and toward the Genites. After the order, the Patriarch moves toward the exit and Dylan blasts the floor in front of him so that he cannot leave.

As they face each other, Dylan realizes what happened to Admiral Stark over the years -- she lost her soul. But Dylan comes to the conclusion that he cannot destroy the Patriarch because then he would lose his own soul. Dylan turns his back on the Patriarch and walks off. The asteroid self-destructs as Dylan and the Maru leave.

Later, Dylan talks with Beka about what happened. Beka says she doesn't think the Patriarch is really Admiral Stark; rather, he is a wraith, an echo of Stark's anger. Dylan says he believes he'll be hearing that echo again sometime.

  21. Day of Judgement, Day Of Wrath
The Andromeda is in dry dock undergoing repairs. Tyr (Keith Hamilton Cobb) talks about his family, the Kodiak Pride, with Dylan (Kevin Sorbo). For years, Tyr believed he was the sole survivor of his lineage until seeds of the Dragonia Vine were sent to him. This message was the clue that others may exist. Now he wants the opportunity to seek them out. Dylan gives him leave, telling him to take the Maru with Beka’s (Lisa Ryder) permission.

The rest of the crew is preparing for the launch of the Resolution of Hector, the newest high guard ship. Harper (Gordon Michael Woolvett) and Rommie are aboard to oversee the joining of the new ship to its AI. As Harper makes the final checks for installing the AI, Dylan meets Hector (Christopher Judge), the avatar of the Resolution. While Harper is working, he hears gunfire in the corridor and is fired at by one of the ship’s techs. He warns them of the consequences just as Rommie bursts in and orders the techs to sweep for others. Harper is stunned as she lifts him and slams him into a wall, ordering him to do as he’s told if he wants to live.

Dylan and Hector arrive on the command deck as a transmission comes through from the Resolution. Rommie appears on the screen and they can hear firing in the background. She tells them she has control of the ship and any interference will be met with deadly force. Hector thinks she has gone rogue, but Dylan won’t believe it yet. He orders the Andromeda out of dry dock when he is informed the Resolution is doing the same and is powering its weapons. The new ship targets and destroys every vessel in dock but the Andromeda, then turns and blasts into deep space. Dylan orders Beka to track them down with slipfighters as the crew hurries to get the Andromeda’s systems back on line.

On leave, Tyr has arrived at a shady medical clinic. He presents the doctor with three vials containing blood, hair, and skin samples and lies down on an operating table.

The slipfighters are reporting in with no sign of the Resolution. Hector asks Dylan to consider the possibility that Rommie has gone rogue and the Andromeda’s core intelligence could be infected as well. Andromeda AI agrees there could be problems and Hector suggests they shut her down. Dylan’s discusses it with the Andromeda AI and they decide to use Hector in her place until they recover Rommie.

Back on the Resolution, Harper is asking Rommie why she is doing this. She avoids answering Harper's question, but a view inside her mind reveals Rommie’s consciousness trapped inside a translucent prison, her body hijacked by what looks like her old lover, Gabriel. He tells her he is actually the Balance of Judgement, the core personality of Gabriel’s ship. He hid a copy of his personality inside her mind before his ship was destroyed, waiting for the right moment to strike. He usurped Rommie’s body and the Resolution in order to reactivate the Restorian movement, a cause that seeks to wipe out entire civilizations that threaten their planet’s ecosystems. Ignorant of all this, Harper is ordered by the Judgement AI to build a new android identical to Gabriel’s. When it is finished, the Judgement AI decides to rename himself Remiel (Michael Shanks); he takes hold of the android’s hand and transfers over his data and consciousness. Harper jumps at this chance, he connects his data port to a console but Remiel sits up and stops him.

Tyr is in post-op in the medical lab; the doctor tells him the procedure was a complete success. He has exchanged Tyr’s blood with the sample he brought and altered his DNA to match, saying only Tyr will know the truth. With that said, Tyr jumps him and anesthetizes him. He plants a small bomb telling the doctor it will destroy all traces of Tyr’s presence, along with everything else. He leaves the doctor to his doom.

The Andromeda has located the Resolution and Dylan wants to capture it in hopes of saving Rommie and Harper. If all else fails, he has a Nietzschean AI eraser that will wipe out her mind and allow them to recover the ship. They close in on the Resolution, which is hiding in an asteroid field. Dylan orders the Andromeda to target the large asteroid the Resolution is hiding behind. They destroy it, rattling the rogue ship with shrapnel. Remiel orders his AI to fire missiles at Andromeda. The ship disappears from their screen and Remiel thinks he’s won. His premature triumph is cut short when the Andromeda reappears and fires on them. He realizes the Resolution never got off a shot and he grabs Harper, demanding to know what he did on the console. Harper tells Remiel he is in training mode and is limited to simulations only. Remiel begins to crush Harper’s neck and inside his mind Rommie is pleading for him to stop. She offers to take control of the ship and get them out of there if he releases Harper. He frees her and Rommie is in control of her own body again. She pilots the Resolution towards the nearest slip event and Dylan orders Beka to block the way. As they maneuver, five Restorian fighters emerge from slipstream and attack the Andromeda. The crew fires back, three fighters are destroyed, one escaped, and one disabled fighter remains. The Resolution has escaped but Dylan orders Hector to capture the damaged fighter to find Rommie and infiltrate the ship.

Meanwhile, Tyr has docked the Maru on a Nietzschean cruiser. He is meeting with William Ataturk (J.R. Bourne), the Fleet Marshall of the Drago-Kazov, to prove his new genetic identity as the Nietzschean progenitor reincarnated. Ataturk checks this on a hand-comp, confirming it. He hands Tyr the shroud of Drago Museveni, and Tyr is set to take his place as leader of the Nietzscheans.

While Dylan and Hector sneak aboard and begin to sabotage the Resolution’s systems, Rommie has convinced Remiel to release Harper in exchange for her assistance. She convinces Harper to get out while he can when the Resolution goes to emergency power. Remiel believes he was set up and advances on Harper but Rommie jumps in between them. Suddenly, Remiel turns and walks out the door. Dylan explodes out of a wall panel onto the command deck and takes over. He plugs in the eraser to destroy the Judgement AI when Remiel bursts through the door, firing at him. Dylan shoots back but it has no effect so he overloads his force lance and tosses it at Remiel, blasting him off his feet. Dylan runs for the door but Remiel cuts him off, only to be shot in the back by Hector. Dylan leaves Hector to deal with Remiel and rushes off to help Harper and Rommie. He finds them locked in the machine shop so he blows the door down. He orders Harper to secure the slipfighter and wait for him to get Hector. Rommie will make sure the Judgement AI cannot come back online to kill them all.

Hector and Remiel are brawling on the command deck, and Hector is losing. He gets up one more time and Remiel shoots him. The Judgement AI comes up on the screen telling Remiel it’s over and that he has let the others go. Rommie has convinced the Judgement that their duty lies in serving the people that made them. The Andromeda has arrived and because of Dylan’s tinkering, the Resolution is in no position to fight. Remiel is frustrated and refuses to give up. He shoots the AI console and runs to the hangar deck to escape. Harper watches him run out the hangar doors and they close behind him. The Andromeda spots a fighter escaping from the Resolution and destroys it -- but it was a diversion. Rommie knows Remiel is still there and convinces the Judgement AI to let her through the doors. She finds him preparing his escape; he spots her and runs for the outer doors. During the chase, Dylan has found Hector. He is lying on the floor and only has time to say he was proud to serve with Dylan before he dies. Meanwhile Rommie and Remiel are battling in the hanger. She throws him into a console, causing the outer doors to open. They are both being sucked towards the abyss as they fight, finally getting hung up on the edge. Remiel is pushing Rommie out when he is hit by several plasma bursts, sending him flying into space. Rommie is about to fly out with him when Dylan, garbed in an EVA suit, grabs her hand and pulls her to safety.

Rommie enters Dylan’s office to report for duty. She claims she is rested, repaired and back to normal. The Perseids have removed all traces of the Balance of Judgement AI
from her as well as the Resolution of Hector. Rommie seems curious about Hector and assumes he was a fine replacement for Dylan while she was away. Dylan agrees but tells her that Hector could never be what she is...Dylan’s rock.

Having returned from his leave, Tyr sits in his quarters watching a message on the monitor from Olma -- and from his son, young Tamerlane

  22. Daytime Believer
As the crew enjoys a meal, the assistant minister of war Jane Rollins (Sarah Jane Redmond) appears on screen. She informs Dylan (Kevin Sorbo) of rumors about the Nietzschean Prides who have joined the Commonwealth. Supposedly, they are contemplating leaving and forming their own fleet. A buzzer rings and the Andromeda reports that a supply cargo from the Commonwealth Headquarters has unexpectedly arrived in Hangar Deck 15.

Nietzscheans break out of the crates as klaxons alert the crew of an invasion. Six Nietzscheans spread out over the deck planting small rectangular devices on the ship. The crew watches all of this on screen. The intruders manage to seal off and take control of Deck 15 by establishing a power base and taking crewmembers hostage.

The head Nietzschean (Courtney Kramer) appears on screen and has a proposal for Dylan. She will trade the hostages for the bones of Drago Musevini and the Maru. Dylan comes back with a deal: the Nietzscheans can take him hostage in exchange for the crewmembers. Dylan also guarantees the bones and the Maru. The head Nietzschean agrees and they meet at the slipstream core. Two Nietzscheans take off to find the bones as the head Nietzschean watches them on screen. In the corridor on Deck 15, one of the Nietzscheans reaches the door, enters a code and it slides open to reveal the bones of Drago Musevini. They gather them up and take them out of the room.

Rommie (Lexa Doig) and Trance (Laura Bertram) are unable to find Tyr (Keith Hamilton Cobb). Trance makes her way through the darkened Maru to reach her quarters only to discover she cannot open her door. She reports the Maru has been shut down. Beka (Lisa Ryder) struggles to gain some kind of control of the Andromeda.

Tyr appears in the corridor and sees two Nietzscheans heading towards him. Ducking out of sight, he whispers on his comm to the ship that he is encountering the enemy. When he steps into their view he holds his hand up to shush them and shoots them.

Rommie and Trance move into Tyr’s quarters where they find the dead Dragonia Vine. Rollins appears on screen and tells Beka she and the High Guard ship Twelve Centuries will be there as soon as they can. Klaxons sound, Beka’s communication is jammed and Rollins disappears. Beka is unable to call her back and she and Andromeda discover they have lost access to the ship and to security files.

The Nietzscheans move onto the Maru. The bones of Drago Musevini are there as well as Tyr. He salutes the head Nietzschean and then shoots her dead. He instructs the rest of the group to take the bones to the rendezvous. The Maru flies away from the Andromeda and disappears into slipstream.

Rommie runs diagnostics on the ship and reports things appear to be back to normal. Tyr arrives as the crew questions him of his whereabouts. Rollins pops up on screen to confirm that the attacks were led by the Drago Kazov. She claims they are marauding and informs them once again that the Commonwealth fleet is on their way. Dylan instructs Beka to follow the Maru into slipstream.

Emerging from slipstream, the Andromeda appears right behind the Maru and successfully scoops it up into its hangar. The Nietzscheans prepare a defense as Dylan, Tyr and Trance rush onto the Maru. They eliminate the enemy immediately. However, the crew has unknowingly chased the Maru into the middle of the Drago-Kazov system where the planet Enga’s Redoubt is located.

Fleet Marshall William Ataturk (J.R. Bourne), the young leader of the Drago-Kazov and old enemy of the Commonwealth appears on screen to welcome the Andromeda to his territory. Led by Ataturk, three ships and cruisers move towards them. Beka struggles to find the slipstream so they can escape. But the Andromeda begins to bound around with little power left. Dylan instructs her to slow the ship down. Rommie explains if they go into slipstream, the Andromeda will eject its slip core and cause an explosion that will destroy the Drago-Kazov home world. Suddenly, a slipfighter leaves the ship -- with Tyr in it. Dylan attempts to contact Tyr on the comm but he is unreachable. Meanwhile, Ataturk informs Tyr the Andromeda is in custody.

On the display, Dylan and Rommie notice an asteroid circling Enga’s Redoubt. It appears to be the Kodiak world, Tyr’s home. Dylan commands Beka to lay down enough fire so that he can slip away in a drop-pod to the abandoned asteroid without being noticed.

Ataturk appears on screen again stating that Tyr has proved his loyalty by delivering the Andromeda to him and is now the leader of the Drago-Kazov.

Back on Andromeda, Harper is going through the ship to find what is rendering the Andromeda unable to repair itself. Andromeda runs a recent history of the ship’s problems and they watch the security playback of Tyr working on a panel in the slipstream core, as well as other clips from the past. Harper realizes Tyr has been sabotaging the Andromeda and her crew for three years.

Dylan arrives in the Kodiak Home world and enters Drago Musevini's mausoleum. Tyr is there waiting for him. He discusses the Dragans on Enga’s Redoubt and how they stand in the way of a better Nietzschean future. Tyr plans to destroy them so the universe can be perfect.

Beka radios Dylan to get back to the ship as soon as possible. Whatever Tyr altered on the ship needs to be fixed or they will be unable to fight back or run. Dylan convinces Tyr to come back to the Andromeda and to undo what he has done.

Tyr repairs the damage he caused to the ship. Hundreds of other craft besides the Commonwealth vessels are coming up on display. Enemy ships swarm the system as the crew watches. Rollins appears on screen assuring them they are close to the Andromeda’s position and safety is near. Dylan informs her it’s not just the Dragans, it’s much bigger. Many races are taking the opportunity to end any Commonwealth organization and spread anarchy in the galaxy.

The Nietzschean fleet moves in front of Enga’s Redoubt to protect it from attack. A standoff is forming and Rollins is on screen reporting they are about to engage the enemy, and that Dylan should await her orders. The Commonwealth fleet begins to fire and the Andromeda tries to aid the fight. The screen goes blank as the enemy ships destroy the Commonwealth fleet and turn on the Andromeda. Tyr races out of command as Dylan chases him. Tyr explains he must leave and be with his son. However, the Commonwealth is dead and Dylan blames Tyr’s selfishness. But Tyr is beyond caring.

The crew watches Tyr’s slipfighter try to race past the surrounding enemy fleet. Beka checks the display and sees Tyr being surrounded. Dylan commands the Andromeda to cover Tyr and clear his path. As the Andromeda starts firing, the enemy fleet turns to them and returns fire. Rommie reports the path is clear. There is no sign of Tyr.

As the crew exits into slipstream, Dylan knows they must now be ready for anything that may come in their path.
