In a new comedy series premiere, Adam Sullivan (Scott Foley) begins his
career as an Assistant U. S. Attorney, going head-to-head with former
classmate and dream date Susan Rakoff (Amanda Detmer), who now works as a
legal aid lawyer. Adam's roommate, Owen Harper (Eddie McClintock), complicates
his case by visiting the courthouse for some inadvertent jury- tampering --
much to the dismay of Adam's reluctant boss Geoffrey Laurence (Peter
Jacobson). John Ross Bowie also stars; Kathryn Joosten (NBC's "The West Wing")
and Phil Hendrie guest-star.
- Rich Man, Poor Man (OAD 02/11/03)
Adam (Scott Foley) questions his commitment to the U.S. Attorney's
Office when he is offered a lucrative job a prestigious Washington,
D.C. law firm by a former classmate (guest star Jay Harrington, "The
Division") whose extravagant lifestyle puts him to shame. Meanwhile,
Owen (Eddie McClintock) feuds with their landlord over laundry, and
Susan (Amanda Detmer) pursues a laundry list of self-defense
techniques with the hands-on help of Ana (Ana Ortiz)
- Happy Grandmothers (OAD 02/18/03)
When Geoffrey (Peter Jacobson) points out to Adam (Scott Foley)
that he is most popular among elderly female jurors, Adam endeavors to
stack his jury with a friendly older crowd in order to win his first
case. But Susan (Amanda Detmer) includes a young sexy woman on the
jury to thwart Adam's plan of easy victory in the prosecution of her
renegade client (guest star David Cash).
- Till Death Do Us Part (OAD 02/25/03)
Adam (Scott Foley) sees romantic potential with Susan (Amanda
Detmer) when they are both invited to the same wedding. But when his
questioning of a mobster (guest star David Proval "The Sopranos")
results in a death threat against him, Adam is forced to bring Agent
Gilmore (guest star Glenn Morshower) as his bodyguard and date for the
evening, making his amorous plans for Susan all the more difficult to
achieve.

When Adam (Scott Foley) begins a scandalous affair with a sexy
older woman, Judge Kimberly Flynn (guest star Brenda Strong, "The West
Wing"), the rest of the office questions his nomination to the
prestigious Senate advisory panel of which Judge Flynn is a member.
Most concerned about Adam's unfair advantage are Susan (Amanda Detmer)
and Ana (Ana Ortiz), fellow nominees who expect their legal smarts to
prevail. Eddie McClintock, Peter Jacobson and John Ross Bowie also
star. Phil Hendrie guest stars.
- Walter's First Lawsuit (OAD 03/11/03)
When the office takes a magazine quiz about manhood, Adam (Scott
Foley) discovers that his low-scoring paralegal Walter (John Ross
Bowie) has never been on a date. Adam decides to build up Walter's
confidence by buying him a new suit, giving him a step-by-step list
for the perfect New York date, and encouraging him to ask out the
coffee cart vendor, Jane (guest star Jamie Denbo). Meanwhile, the
highest scorer in the quiz, Ana (Ana Ortiz), finds it more and more
difficult to prove that she is not the most masculine person in the

Adam (Scott Foley) hopes that romance will blossom with Susan
(Amanda Detmer) when they both must travel to Arizona to prepare

other’s embarrassing secrets out of the courtroom, Adam finds himself
in a legal bind that could cost him his case and his dream girl. Eddie
