    Once Detectives Smith and Friday figure out why a serial murderer strangles prostitutes and then sprays the victims with silver paint, they make a frightening connection and find that they are in a race against time.

    When Detectives Friday and Smith find the body of a rich college kid in MacArthur Park, everyone figures the murder must be a case of a drug deal gone bad. But in their search to find clues and uncover the killer, the detectives are exposed to a bizarre and disturbing trend.
     
  3. All That Glitters (OAD 02/16/03)
    Detective Friday is concerned that a small-time movie executive isn't telling all she knows regarding her investors and the gangland style murder in Malibu of one of her co-workers.
     
  4. Well Endowed (OAD 02/23/03)
    When the beautiful and little-known actress Whitney Lynde is found brutally murdered, the detectives hope to get information from a variety of people, including a tabloid journalist (Sandra Bernhard), a wannabe porn star and a socially prominent Los Angeles family.

    Detectives Smith and Friday are in a frenzy trying to find the young son of a deranged man who's on a rampage to kill his entire family; and Detective Smith loses his cool when people he thinks have information are not forthcoming.

    When the fiancé of a rising young Hollywood actress is found stabbed to death in the Hollywood Hills, her world is shattered, and Detectives Friday and Smith visit a movie studio head and a drug dealer to look for clues.

    When the detectives are called upon to solve the murder of a man killed during a multi-million dollar jewelry heist, they meet a sexy, British P.I. from the diamond merchant's insurance company who has her own hidden agenda.

    When a goth high school coed is killed in a bizarre satanic ritual, Detectives Friday and Smith investigate the lives of her classmates, including Randy Southbrook, a troubled punk who tells everyone that he should be considered the prime suspect.

    While Detective Frank Smith is away caring for his father, Detective Denise Beltran (Lauren Velez) assists Detective Friday in determining if a young business consultant's apparent suicide is indeed what it appears to be. The detectives take a closer look when it's discovered that the woman had another career — one that she hid from her family as well as her fiancé.
     
  10. Let's Make a Deal (OAD 04/13/03)
    Soon after Hollywood super-agent J.J. Halsted's infant son is kidnapped, it's discovered that the missing child is actually the Indonesian nanny's. The detectives and the FBI set up camp in the family's Bel-Air mansion, amidst Halsted's obnoxious wife, their staff and hangers-on.
     
  11. For Whom the Whistle Blows (OAD 04/27/03)
    When a woman is found dead in her car in a remote beach area of Santa Monica, the murder investigation leads to the discovery of a six year old missing person's case gone cold — until now. In their quest to find the killer, the detectives look for clues from the woman's son, her husband and even her former co-workers at a major corporation.
     
  12. The Little Guy (OAD 05/11/03)
    On the season finale, Joe Friday, while trying to protect an innocent member of the notorious Sanchez brothers, kills a cop and puts his career on the line. The veteran sergeant of the LAPD is in danger of losing his shield, since he must now face a review board that will determine if the killing was an accident or a murder.

    In the second-season opener, a teenage girl is found tortured, and Joe Friday and his detectives try to find who's responsible.
     
  2. October 11, 2003: Coyote:
    The remake has been remade. The second season starts with a revised title, new night and different detectives, as Joe Friday tries to solve an illegal immigrant's murder.
     
  3. October 18, 2003: 17 in 6:
    While investigating a series of gang-related murders, Cooper (Evan Parke) enlists the help of an informant.
     
  4. October 25, 2003: The Magic Bullet:
    The investigation of a young singer-dancer's murder involves a reclusive record producer (Michael Massee), his assistant and the producer's daughter.
     
  5. November 1, 2003: Slice of Life:
    Friday and the detectives investigate the murder of a decapitated woman who, it's learned, had recently given birth.
