Season One

The Phantom Episode
The curtain rises on the yearly drama that we all know as high school, and like the Montagues and the Capulets, there are two clans at Kennedy High -- Popular and Not Popular.

Meet Sam McPherson. She considers herself "Alternative," a subdivision of Not Popular. She hates everything the Popular kids stand for. It's just her luck that Brooke McQueen is assigned to be her lab partner in biology. Brooke is the prettiest girl in school and co-captain of the cheerleading squad, so of course she is totally Popular and obsessed with staying that way. But it's great news to Sam's plus-sized friend Carmen Ferrara. She's positive that Brooke can get her on the cheerleading squad, a one-way ticket to popularity, if only Sam will put in a good word for her.

Of course Sam would do that, if she wasn't distracted by the major crush she has on her intellectual rebel journalism teacher, Mr. Grant. He wants her to do a cover story for the school paper on popularity. So instead of helping Carmen, Sam focuses on getting invited to Brooke's party, the premier social event of the season. The party is cohosted by Nicole Julian, Brooke's best friend, co-captain of the squad, and the judgmental bitch you love to hate. The party's invite list will determine who's hot and who's not for the year to come at Kennedy High.

Meet Josh Ford. He's the star quarterback and Brooke's boyfriend (which obviously means mondo popularity), and he's got a freaky secret -- he wants to be in the school musical! Dating a drama geek is not high on Brooke's list of things to do, and it strains their relationship. But Josh goes out for the musical anyway and lands the leading role. This does not make anyone happy, including Josh's hard-core father and his gargantuan teammate, Sugar Daddy.

Carmen isn't so lucky. She doesn't make the squad even though she rocked the tryout. Nicole simply cannot allow a fat person in the group because it goes against the social standard.

It's week one at Kennedy High, and the stage is set for war.

Mo, Menace, Mo, Problems
Battle lines are drawn around Josh's decision to sing in the school musical. Mr. Vincent is practically spazzing with excitement -- a popular student like Josh will guarantee a huge crowd. But the demanding role will interfere with football, and Coach Peritti and Josh's dad will do anything in their power to keep him on the team.

Brooke, who unlike Josh's dad occasionally has some feelings, feels guilty about shutting out Carmen from the squad. It doesn't help that everyone is treating her like a total monster. Sam makes a single human gesture and wins an invite to Brooke's party out of sheer gratefulness. But Sam's friend Harrison (who's obsessed with Brooke) accuses her of selling out to make it with the "in" crowd, and she decides not to go after all.

When Brooke runs into Carmen at a local diner, they end up having a heart-to-heart. Carmen would give anything to have Brooke's life and she tells her so, but Brooke opens up and explains that being the most popular girl in school isn't everything it's cracked up to be. She has a problem with food too, but instead of overeating she starves herself, all for the sake of being accepted. For a moment, Brooke and Carmen are friends. Carmen wants to know why she didn't make the cheerleading squad, and Brooke levels with her -- she's too fat.

That Friday, Sam decides that her friends are every bit as good as Brooke's crowd, so they posse up and crash the party together. Sparks fly, and just when the party dip is about to hit the fan, Brooke's dad waltzes in with Sam's mom to announce they're engaged!

Week two and it's a tie score between Popular and Unpopular. Looks like we're headed for overtime

Under Siege
Sam's mom and Brooke's dad decide to have a family dinner so everyone can get to know each other better. The girls are less than thrilled. As far as they're concerned, they know each other well enough, and the parent of the enemy can't be much better.

Brooke buys out the entire front row of the school musical, to prove to Josh that she believes in him, and manages to patch up their relationship. Meanwhile, Mr. Vincent steals the football and cheerleading teams' budget records, which are totally outrageous of course, and gives them to Sam to run in the school newspaper. Coach Peritti is forced to cut back, and the cheerleaders will be the first to get the axe. That is, unless the team wins the homecoming game and convinces the alumni to increase their donations. To make things even more insane, Mr. Vincent moves the date of the school musical to the same night as the big game, which means that Josh won't be able to play. Freaked out, Brooke pressures him to quit the musical. Josh can't take it anymore and dumps her like yesterday's recyclables.

On the night of the dinner, Brooke and Sam take their personal battle to new heights and the entire evening is ruined. Sam and Brooke apologize to each other, realizing that they've both been totally rotten to their parents.

The teachers at Kennedy High are acting like brats, too, and Principal Hall puts her foot down and demands that they grow up. Mr. Vincent is fired for stealing files. When the star quarterback wants to be a star, people can act a little crazy

Windstruck
Sam sits in at a play rehearsal and winds up sitting on Josh's lap. Josh must like it because Sam can feel "it," which confuses the heck out of both of them. Sam gets wicked delight out of fantasizing about a possible romance between her and the star quarterback. She confides in Carmen who accidentally e-mails the entire student body! Whispers fill the halls ... if the star quarterback is sleeping with the head cheerleader, why is he getting aroused by an alterna-chick like Sam? And then the secret is out ... Josh and Brooke are both the big V -- virgins.

Meanwhile Lilly, who is a vegan, must confront every animal rights activist's worst nightmare when her mom makes her get a job at a fast-food chicken shack.

Josh and Brooke's relationship hits the rocks again. Josh goes to Sam for comfort and Brooke somehow finds herself with Harrison. A game of platonic/romantic/alternative/popular couple mix-n-match begins, and it's a lose-lose situation for everybody

The Slumber Party Massacre
The epic saga of Kennedy High becomes a chamber drama when Carmen throws a sleepover to celebrate her sweet 16. And what better present could she get than the chance to be popular? Her invitation to the popular girls is just another lame shot at getting on the cheerleading squad, but Nicole accepts because she is way hot for Carmen's hunky brother, Leo. Nicole scams Brooke into going by promising that she'll have a chance to finally be alone with Josh.

The players take the stage and the farce begins….

Carmen makes her play by trashing Sam's birthday poem, totally wounding Sam in the process. Harrison tries to keep Josh and Brooke from hooking up but messes up so badly that he actually helps them get together. Nicole gets dissed when it becomes obvious that Leo likes Sam, and she punishes Carmen by hypnotizing her into acting like a chicken in front of everybody.

And just when you think all the hooking up is over, Sam goes home and walks in on her mom in bed with Brooke's dad!

Finally, Sam and Carmen make up and throw a real slumber party for true friends. They'll always be popular with each other

Truth Or Concequences
Sam and Brooke are both grossed out by their parents' encounters of the intimate kind. They feel betrayed, like they don't have a say in what happens to their families.

To make things worse, there's a biology midterm coming up. Nicole masterminds a wild heist and scores the test ahead of time. Sam finds out and it's like a bad dream come true when all the popular kids ace the test and destroy the grade curve, while Sam and her friends crash and burn.

They organize a covert operation and send Harrison undercover. He wears a wire to the golf course and gets a confession about the stolen test from Josh and Sugar Daddy. But they bond after a few holes and suddenly Harrison doesn't want to rat out his new "buds." Sam takes the matter into her own hands and runs the story in the school paper.

Brooke confesses to Sam that she is freaked by what's happening with their parents and, in a vulnerable moment, adds that she cheated on the test, too. For once, Sam actually understands where Brooke is coming from, but it's too late to stop the presses. Nicole takes the rap though, and everyone gets it in the end when a full-on global thermonuclear food fight breaks out in the cafeteria.

And, as if the space between Brooke and Sam couldn't get any smaller, their parents decide to move in together. Their worlds are about to collide: Two teenage girls sharing one bathroom -- ouch!

Queen B
Everyone knows Homecoming is like the championship playoffs of popularity, and running for Homecoming Queen is the Super Bowl. As punishment for cheating on the bio midterm, Nicole isn't allowed to compete. But she's still the Homecoming Court Chairman, which suits her nasty power-tripping self just fine. She rigs the election so that only cheerleaders are competing, and, of course, her favorite unpopular guinea pig Carmen. Then she tries to con the other girls into supporting Brooke. It's a devious plan except for one thing: Mary Cherry. Mary is the daughter of a former beauty pageant winner, and the daughter of a BPW must be Homecoming Queen, no matter who she has to kill. The McPherson/McQueen home has become a wrestling ring with Brooke and Sam in a cage match over every little thing, particularly who is responsible for hanging a revolting picture of Brooke all over Kennedy High. But Brooke is still the most popular girl in school, and tradition survives when she is crowned Homecoming Queen. Her Royal Highness learns that Mary Cherry was behind the negative ad campaign and she makes up with Sam. More battles will be fought, and they might just do better as allies instead of enemies

Tonoghts The Night
Everybody's in love with a song about makin' love. The latest smash hit has all the Kennedy High students eager to get their groove on, even if they're not sure just what that means. Check out these love lines:

Sugar Daddy meets his soul mate on the 'Net, but he lies about his looks. His cyber dream girl turns out to be Carmen, and she's not exactly telling the gospel truth about the way she looks either.

Harrison and Lilly take the intellectual approach... the best way to experience sex for the first time should be with a close friend, someone you can trust. Hey, they're close friends ... they totally trust each other … hmmmmmm.

Sam wants Brooke to prove that she is truly, madly, deeply in love with Josh and not just in love with the idea of being the quarterback's girlfriend. Brooke wants Sam to prove that even she can get a boyfriend, and she's got one week to do it.

And now for the punch lines:

Carmen finds out that Sugar Daddy is her virtual man. She stands him up on their first date, but later she 'fesses up and they become friends.

Lilly comes to her senses and saves herself for a true friend who's also a true love. Brooke and Josh finally hook up for real. Josh has never felt closer, but Brooke feels so empty inside she wants to break up.

Sam traps Carmen's brother Leo into a dinner date, but the gig is up when he talks her into waiting for love before sex.

And the hits keep comin' here at Kennedy High…

Wild, Wild Mess
This week our two warring cliques manage to turn the school's "guest principal" election into a popularity contest. The cheerleaders want Gwyneth Paltrow and they'll do whatever it takes to get her, which includes kidnapping her personal shopper. The alternative crowd wants George Stephanopoulos, and they think they've got an "in" through Harrison's mom, Robin, since she's one of George's old flames.

But fate intervenes, causing Sam and Brooke to join forces again when they learn that Brooke might be pregnant. Weirded out and afraid, Brooke doesn't want to have anything to do with Josh and keeps him in the dark.

The next big surprise comes when Sam and her friends meet Harrison's mom, who's gay. They think it's cool that she's so "out," but Harrison is the one who wants to hide in the closet. Robin is crushed.

Sam takes Brooke to the Women's Clinic, but she calls Josh because he needs to know, and Brooke needs his support whether she can admit it or not. The tests show that Brooke isn't pregnant after all, and she's obviously relieved.

Robin talks it out with Harrison and realizes that he needs more time to be comfortable with who she is. But she's still popular in his book ... he votes for her as "guest principal."

Fall On Your Knees
Kennedy High has been the stage for all kinds of drama, and this time it's a new twist on an old classic.

Carmen sprains her ankle taking private dance lessons. All of the cheerleaders, except Nicole of course, vote to let Carmen on the squad, 'cause face it, the girl can dance. But the vote has to be unanimous. The ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future visit scroogy Nicole and she realizes that it'd be best to amend her witchy ways.

Sam and Brooke adjust to spending the holidays together by throwing a joint Christmas party. In the spirit of the season, the two cliques hang together and have a good time. The parental units are jazzed to see the girls getting along.

Newly enlightened Nicole showers her classmates with presents, giving Carmen the best gift of all: her vote so she can finally join the cheerleading squad.

Ex, Lies & Videotape
At Kennedy High everyone is either in a scene or making a scene, but Sam and Brooke go behind the scenes when they are asked to produce a segment to air on "Enterteenment Today." The only thing Sam and Brooke can agree on is that Josh Ford should be the subject. Josh agrees, but only as an excuse to get close to Brooke.

Meanwhile, Carmen's new scene as a cheerleader wins her a stalker-esque fan, April Tuna. The cheerleaders want Carmen to start living the part, which means shunning the unpopular kids. And her first, almost deadly mistake is accidentally running over April Tuna in the DMV parking lot! Carmen is up to her pom-poms in remorse, and April forgives her, promising to cool it with the whole weirdo-stalking thing.

Sam and Brooke uncover the story behind the story of Josh Ford: his decision to be in the school musical is tearing his family apart. His hard-core, ex-marine dad walks out of Josh's performance, but his mom supports him at the risk of the marriage.

Sam and Brooke then agree to can their segment because it will only make things worse for Josh

The Trial of Emory Dick
The plaintiff: Emory Dick. He's suing the school for giving preferential treatment to popular students and promoting a social caste system that made him flunk biology.

The defendant: Brooke McQueen. As the most popular girl in school, she's representing Kennedy High. She's accused of trading good looks for good grades.

The cases and the litigants are real. Principal Hall has convinced them to settle their disputes here in the Popular People's Court!

Lilly and Sam are determined to help Emory win his case in mock court. While they wrestle with the issues, Josh and Sugar Daddy are stoked for the return of wrestling season. But Principal Hall drops a bomb when she tells Sugar Daddy that there's no weight class he can wrestle in without putting other students in danger.

Sugar Daddy feels like he's just been pinned. When he's called as a witness in the trial to defend his mistreatment of unpopular Emory, he testifies with righteous conviction that everybody gets dissed in high school one way or another. The unpopular kids use Emory's trial to speak out, but he ultimately drops the charges.

Hope In A Jar
Three words: Sadie Hawkins Dance. Everything is upside down and inside out at Kennedy High, with everyone obsessing about the way they look. Josh tries to sweat off a few pounds to win back Brooke. Nicole and the cheerleading squad starve themselves in a weight loss contest and agree to give April Tuna a makeover as their latest experiment. Sam gets an inflatable bra and Harrison pumps iron like a crazed Schwarzenegger-wannabe.

Things get even more complicated when Brooke and Sam both ask Harrison to the dance. Harrison chooses Brooke, so Sam retaliates by asking Josh. When they all share a limo, the guys go caveman fighting over Brooke. Lilly, always the rebel, takes Emory Dick to the dance, who surprisingly cleans up quite nicely. But hardly anybody is happy with the way things turn out. Principal Hall explains that she didn't find true love until she lost her sight. When looks don't matter, you have to fall in love with someone's heart. And that's an idea that's popular with everybody.

Caged
It's that time of the month for the Kennedy High girls, and they're definitely not having the time of their lives. With hormones running high and mood swings outta control, the guys lock the girls in the ladies' room, hoping they can talk it out.

And the guys are doing nothing but talking. When Ms. Glass gives them a biology tape to watch, they discover to their horror that there's been a terrible mix-up-she's inadvertently given them a home video of herself as a dominatrix … not a pretty sight! A humiliated Ms. Glass makes them pay for her mistake.

Meanwhile, there are no ladies in the ladies' room, only six girls engaging in some major WWF catfighting. It all screeches to a halt, though, when Nicole confesses she stole the girls' deepest and darkest secrets they had written down for a class project. As she outlines them in lipstick on the mirror, the confessions begin, but rather tamely. Mary Cherry almost quacked up from having webbed hands and feet as a kid (the hands have since been fixed), and Lily admits to questioning her sexuality and a clandestine kiss with Carmen.

The juice factor escalates as the final four secrets revolve around one trampy golden boy: Josh. Brooke says she slept with him again, Sam reveals she made out with him on the same night as Brooke's rendezvous, Carmen has a date with him, and Nicole concedes that she, too, slept with him!

All of this cathartic confessing unites the girls against the common foe (Josh), and before they know it, they've bonded -- at least until next week.

Booty Camp
Just call it Insensitivity Week at Kennedy High, since everyone seems to be crossing the line. While working at the school's crisis hotline, Sam and Brooke discover Nicole is teasing Freddy Gong, insinuating that he's gay. Tired of the tomboy taunts, Lily flaunts her stuff, but after getting what she thinks she wants, she feels like a victim of sexual harassment and files a complaint. The offenders-Sugar Daddy, Josh, and Harrison-get sent to a weekend boot camp to deal with sexual harassment and to get sensitive. When Sam and Brooke confront Nicole about harassing Freddy, they violate Freddy's privacy, and the three of them become the newest boot-camp recruits. They're soon joined by the "Peeping Tommy Girls," Carmen and Mary Cherry, who get caught sneaking a peek through the ceiling of the guys' shower room.

Josh gets more than his share of grief when his mom says she won't be going on the family fishing trip because she's leaving his dad. But they make a deal: She'll try to make amends with his dad as long as he attends the camp with an open mind.

The GI Joe and Jane routine takes its toll on the gang, forcing them to realize their lack of sensitivity. Josh's mom tells him she tried to work it out with his father, but it's hopeless because the mental abuse is just too much. All the recent events take a toll on Josh, and he has a meltdown. Even hard-hearted Nicole, who insists she's unaffected by the camp, apologizes to Freddy. It's a kinder, gentler student body reporting to school Monday morning.

All About Adam
There's an imposter in their midst, a mysterious student named (appropriately) Adam, who's tempting everyone to be someone they're not. He's scheming for a spot as the Glamazons' yell king, but the girls resist. All except Brooke, that is, whom Adam charms by convincing her to enter a model contest sponsored by "Chick Power" magazine.

Carmen enters Sam in the same contest without her knowing it, and Sam wins, causing more tension between her and Brooke. As part of the prize package, Sam gets to meet two members of the U.S. Women's Soccer Team.

Everyone finally sees Adam's true colors after he has found each of the cheerleaders' weak spots and gone in for the kill. He even sets up Brooke by planting a bong in her bag! There's strength in unity, and the Glamazons unite to prove Brooke's innocence by exposing some of Adam's dirty little secrets.

And the lesson for the day is: Be true to yourself (and look good while you're at it!

Lord of the Files
When a handsome new vice principal named Calvin Krupps (Robert Gant) arrives at Kennedy High, the collective female hearts are set aflutter. Using his debonair demeanor to his advantage, Krupps persuades the students to get focused.

And by focused, we mean really, really focused. The less-focused students begin to join Krupps each morning for a 5:30 a.m. T'ai Chi class. In typical fashion, the Glamazons do everything they can to get into trouble and be "forced" to attend the class.

Interestingly, Krupps seems to know an awful lot about our scheming Glamazon clan. It turns out that he's the nephew of Vera Krupps (Marnie Crossen), Kennedy High's lunch lady, who is secretly keeping tabs on the student body for Calvin. Like, isn't that unfair or something?

Meanwhile, Josh and Carmen hit a bump in the road of their blossoming romantic relationship. Josh, say it ain't so! Evidently the thumb-wrestling and orange-peeling weren't enough

Ch, Ch, Changes
It's gender-bender time at Kennedy High when Mr. Don Jackson announces he's switching teams, becoming Ms. Debbie Jackson! While the students take sides, things get even nuttier when Mary Cherry's mom, the ultra-rich Cherry Cherry, arrives as the home economics substitute teacher.

Harrison, meanwhile, tries to help his mom, who's struggling with depression after being fired as a pharmacist because she's gay. In part to show support for his mom's rights, Harrison champions Mr. Don/Ms. Debbie's fight to keep "her" job. The other students join Harrison in his protest, but despite everyone's efforts, the well-liked teacher ends up losing his job. It's a hard hit for the popular people to take, but they'll rise up stronger than ever next week.

Hard On The Outside, Soft In The Middle
Lily takes up her latest cause…saving the life of an imprisoned lobster she's named Eddie from a local restaurant. She has saved her allowance to buy Eddie, but is appalled to find upon her arrival at the restaurant to rescue him that Mary Cherry has eaten Eddie. It seems the owner of the restaurant, Caesar Croutons, has given Mary Cherry preferential treatment because she is blonde.

Meanwhile, when Sam gets a worse grade than Brooke because Brooke's paper looks "prettier," the alternative kids vow to prove a point about the unfairness of what Miss Glass calls Natural Selection.

As a test, the "alts" decide to go blonde and see if their lives change. Unimpressed, the popular kids then all go brunette to prove that hair color has nothing to do with the special treatment they receive. As always, strangeness insures as the kids from Kennedy High School experience life on the other side.

Meanwhile, Principal Hall asks Harrison to act as translator for an exotic new exchange student from China named Exquisite Woo, who ends up falling for Sugar Daddy. Sugar, naturally, falls hard in return.

We Are Family
Brooke and Sam devise a plan to thwart the imminent wedding plans of their parental units. Both girls and their respective groups of friends agree that, as Nicole says, "separatism between two different species is what works."

As part of their plan, Brooke and Sam plant a pair of sexy black silk women's underwear in the clothes hamper, put some lipstick stains on some of Mike's white t-shirts and plant a reservation confirmation slip from "The Sweet Sin Palace" in Mike's pocket, all in order to convince Jane that Mike is cheating on her. The plan ends up backfiring and the wedding moves ahead as planned.

As the girls are plotting deviously, Jane and Mike then drop an even bigger bombshell -- Jane is going to adopt Brooke and Mike is going to adopt Sam so their families will truly merge in every way. Brooke is secretly pleased that Jane wants to adopt her and is quickly warming up to the idea of having a mother again. Sam, however, doesn't want to let Mike adopt her and vows to fight it every step of the way. She also becomes jealous over her mom's growing closeness with Brooke.

In fact, Sam is so desperate to keep the wedding from taking place that she enlists the help of her sworn enemy Nicole. True to character, Nicole ends up stabbing Sam in the back and tells everyone -- including Sam's mom -- that she came to Nicole and asked her to help stop the ceremony at any cost. Sam's family problems quickly go from bad to worse.

Meanwhile, Mary Cherry is shocked (and initially horrified) to learn that her "momma," Cherry Cherry (guest-star Delta Burke) is marrying Erik Estrada. However, Mary changes her tune and welcomes Estrada with open arms once he gives her his authentic "CHIPS" crew jacket. What's more, Mary finds out that she's going to be interviewed by "E! True Hollywood Stories" for their upcoming profile on her soon-to-be stepfather

What Makes Sammy Run
Sam has run away, and with Jane's bridal shower looming, her friends begin to worry. It turns out that Sam has traveled to San Francisco to find Brooke's mother, hoping that will stop the wedding from taking place. Sam ends up tracking down a beautiful art gallery owner named Kelly Foster, who initially denies being Brooke's mother. The ever-tenacious Sam doesn't give up, and Kelly finally admits to being Brooke's mom and tries to explain her reasons for walking out on her only daughter.

As the hours tick by and still there is no sign of Sam, her friends start to panic. Brooke is strangely calm about Sam's disappearance, secretly hoping that she won't be back in time for the shower so she'll have to suffer the parental consequences. Once the shower begins, however, there is no way to avoid the fact that Sam is nowhere to be found. Jane is understandably shaken to hear that her daughter has run away. Just as she is about to call the police, Sam arrives back home safely, but doesn't offer any specific explanation for her disappearance.

Meanwhile, the guys plan a bachelor party for Mike at a local strip club, knowing this is the only way they will get in the club since they are underage. They arrange to talk their way in and are shocked to see Nicole and Mary Cherry on stage performing! The club is raided and Mike ends up in jail after being blamed for corrupting the minors.

To her dismay, Jane has to use all of the money set aside for the wedding and honeymoon to bail Mike out of jail, but Cherry Cherry comes to their rescue and offers to pay for their wedding...as long as it can be a double wedding between Mike and Jane and Cherry Cherry and Erik Estrada!

Two Weddings & A Funeral (Season One Finale)
The kids are looking forward to the annual Sophomore Skip Day to wrap up the school year, but Ms. Glass has seen to it that they don't skip anything. As retribution, the kids decide to temporarily put Ms. Glass out of commission and spike her daily smoothie with a dose of E.coli. Ms. Glass is hip to what's going on and refuses to drink the shake, however moments later, she drops like a stone. It seems someone else wants to get rid of Bobbi Glass and pin it on her least favorite students.

That's just the beginning as all kinds of crazy "season finale" stunts continue to take place throughout the episode: one of the students will die before the credits roll, an earthquake strikes, there's a huge musical number, a former couple gets back together and a double wedding will take place…or will it? Someone completely unexpected shows up at the ceremony and drops a bombshell just as the vows are being taken

Season One

Timber
It may be the beginning of a new school year, but it’s the end to Sam’s (Carly Pope) hopes for a new beginning. At the end of last season, just as Brooke’s father Mike (Scott Bryce) was about to marry Sam’s mother Jane (Lisa Darr), Brooke’s birth-mother Kelly (Peggy Lipton) showed up at the ceremony declaring their divorce was never finalized. With the nuptials temporarily called off, Sam and Brooke, as well as the parents, contemplate their next move. In the meantime, Sam and Jane move into a seedy hotel room in the San Fernando Valley. And Brooke announces that she is going to move to San Francisco to live with her mother!

At school, the nefarious Ms. Glass (Diane Delano) has returned to teach chemistry class -- much to the horror of her students. Seeking revenge due to the way her students have treated her, she sets out to chop down the campus’ 200-year-old “Forever Tree,” lest they find relief in it’s leafy shade. Aghast, Sugar Daddy (Ron Lester) and Lily (Tamara Mello) protest by promising to stay in the “Forever Tree” forever -- or at least until Ms. Glass abandons her heinous plans.

Meanwhile, Nicole (Tammy Lynn Michaels) is in charge of the Glamazon’s cheerleading try-outs and is demanding that everyone audition -- including fellow Glamazon Mary Cherry (Leslie Grossman). A deal is struck, however, after Mary Cherry agrees to be the donor for Nicole’s knee-replacement operation. However, Mary Cherry has some tricks of her own planned for Nicole.

Baby, Don't Do It
Ms. Bobbi Glass (Diane Delano) decides to teach the students a life lesson and assigns each of them a lifelike doll called the Baby Don't Do It Doll. The dolls "burp, cry, eat, sleep, create waste, and produce mucus" and a computer chip will reveal at the end of the experiment who took care of their "children" and who didn't.

Meanwhile, Emory Dick's (Hank Harris) incredibly hot 14-year-old twin sisters, Emily and Emma (both played by Alessandra Toreson), show up at Kennedy High and convince Nicole (Tammy Lynn Michaels) and Mary Cherry (Leslie Grossman) to teach them their "unique blend of style and ruthlessness" so they can rule their junior high. Although the older girls are hesitant at first, when the twins offer up a wad of cash, the deal is sealed. When the training sessions go a little too well and the twins turn into out-of-control little monsters, Nicole and Mary Cherry have to pull rank and put them back in their place -- utilizing public humiliation at a party, of course!

And Brooke (Leslie Bibb) realizes that her father Mike (Scott Bryce) has been the best parent she could ask for -- and decides that although she wants to continue to have a relationship with her birth mother, she doesn't want to move to San Francisco to live with her.

Citizen Shame
Sam (Carly Pope) and her mother Jane (Lisa Darr) are encamped in a fleabag motel until Jane can figure out what to do about her derailed betrothal to Mike (Scott Bryce). The estranged situation becomes even more strange when Jane suspects that she is pregnant.

Carmen (Sara Rue) whose family is experiencing its own meltdown, soon comes knocking at their motel room door to ask if she can crash with them. It seems Carmen is keeping some dark secrets about her life at home.

During a prep class for her college boards, Brooke (Leslie Bibb) meets Bonnie (Andrea Bendewald), the S.A.T. lecturer who seems to possess all the qualities that Brooke aspires to -- confidence and independence. The two go out to lunch, where Bonnie proceeds to get drunk and invites two businessmen to join them for drinks and maybe more. The underaged Brooke realizes she must get out of the situation quickly but never expects that they will wind up in jail.

Meanwhile, Ms. Glass' (Diane Delano) filthy-rich uncle Tipton (also Diane Delano) pays her a surprise visit, and this time he wants to meet her husband and family -- none of which Ms. Glass has. She has less than eight hours to hire herself a family so she can be assured of inheriting the Glass family fortune. Sensing an opportunity, Nicole (Tammy Lynn Michaels) agrees to the odious task, but for a price.

Sweetest Taboo
Desperate to get back her Glamazon status, Nicole (Tammy Lynn Michaels) comes up with a plan to blackmail Principal Calvin Krupps (Robert Gant). With the help of micro-electronics and Sugar Daddy (Ron Lester), she creates a sexy videotape that seems to put Krupps in several compromising positions. It ends up backfiring, however, and lands Nicole a one-week suspension.

Josh (Bryce Johnson) is having his share of problems on both the homefront and at school. His mother, Jean (Dey Young), has been out of work since her separation, and the two have been living a frugal life. Josh promises to help out, but the stress has taken its emotional toll on him and is showing on the football field. He confides this to the new football coach -- and Principal Krupps' brother -- Casey Krupps (Eric Mabius), who promises to recommend Jean for the open position of school guidance counselor. Jean ends up getting hired, and there is palpable chemistry between her and Coach Krupps, even though he is quite a bit younger than she is. Josh becomes even more stressed when a handsome and talented new student and football player named George Austin (A.T. Montgomery) transfers from another district and looks as though he's got his sights on John's position as captain of the team.

Meanwhile, Sam (Carly Pope) is tired of all the favoritism and nepotism at Kennedy High. She plans to write a revealing story for the school paper, and then finds herself under the spell of one of her subjects -- George -- whom she suspects was illegally recruited by the high school. Despite her best efforts to fight it, Sam finds herself attracted to George, and he clearly feels the same.

Joe Loves Marry Cherry
With elections for homecoming queen just around the corner, Nicole (Tammy Lynn Michaels) has taken a schoolwide poll to show Brooke (Leslie Bibb) that her popularity is dropping. Ergo, if Brooke's ratings are down, so are Nicole's, since she rides on Brooke's coattails. The findings also show that Mary Cherry (Leslie Grossman) -- also clinging to Brooke's pop factor -- is universally disliked. Nicole's solution? Brooke should break up with Josh (Bryce Johnson), who was recently suspended and is no longer captain of the football team, and start dating someone who befits a homecoming queen. Someone like the new football captain, George (A.T. Montgomery), who is currently dating Sam (Carly Pope). Nicole springs into devious action when Brooke refuses to entertain such ludicrous thoughts. Meanwhile, aware that she must do something dramatic and uncharacteristically charitable to raise her popularity, Mary Cherry decides to throw a skating party as a fund-raiser to separate Siamese twins (and fellow students) Randy and Andy.

Ms. Glass (Diane Delano), trying to explain chemical combinations to her failing class, comes up with an experiment in which the students are to regard themselves as single atoms. She will pair them up and, by discussing their personal likes and dislikes, they'll be able to see if they can chemically combine to form a molecule. Nicole blackmails Harrison (Christopher Gorham) to help her break into Glass' computer and rearrange the pairings so that Brooke and George become a new alloy. The fallen hero, Josh, is paired with Lily (Tamara Mello), and Nicole also pairs Harrison up with Mary Cherry -- much to Mary Cherry's delight.

Sometimes experiments have unforeseen consequences. Josh and Lily's combination starts throwing off heat, while Brooke and George remain insoluble -- although it seems through Sam's jealous eyes that Brooke is turning Sam's golden boy to lead.

Style And Substance Abuse
Another election is pending, replete with bombastic speeches, empty promises, and nasty finger-pointing accusations from each of the candidates. We’re not talking President of the United States here, but Kennedy High’s annual polls for homecoming queen and student body president. This year, Brooke (Leslie Bibb) has opted to run not for queen but for student body president. This leaves the field for the coveted crown wide open for both Nicole (Tammy Lynn Michaels) and Mary Cherry (Leslie Grossman). Also up for school royalty are the unlikely candidates Carmen (Sara Rue) and Sam (Carly Pope) -- who believes winning the tiara will help her budding romance with George (A. T. Montgomery).

Principal Calvin Krupps (Robert Gant) isn’t happy with Brooke’s decision. He was hoping the class favorite would once again run -- and win, as she helped the school take in so much donation money the previous year. To generate some benefactor hoopla, he brings in alumni and former queen Hellacious Akers (Michelle Phillips), who has made a professional career out of beauty and superficiality. In announcing this to the school, Krupps also announces the drug-induced death of student Wendell Smegma, who died sucking down the latest rave fave -- cough syrup. Krupps then tells Ms. Glass (Diane Delano) to ready chemistry beakers, as he wishes to have the entire student body tested for drug use.

When Ms. Glass finds the still-homeless Carmen sleeping under her chemistry class desk, she feels a twinge of pity for her and offers to put Carmen up at her house. The two bond and, with hateful high school memories of Hellacious’ ever-taunting barbs toward her, Ms. Glass volunteers to run Carmen’s homecoming campaign. In fact, she goes a few steps further and threatens her chemistry students to either vote for Carmen or receive an “F.”

Meanwhile, Josh (Bryce Johnson) and Lily (Tamara Mello) take their new romance out by the stump that was once the Forever Tree. Feeling nervous, Lily takes a swig of the cough syrup she brought. Josh takes a gulp as well. This is all seen by Brooke, who is jealous that her former boyfriend is dating Lily. Brooke then decides to run on a platform endorsing Krupps’ mandatory drug testing at school. This causes Harrison (Chris Gorham) to quit as her campaign manager and run his own race. At a student assembly, Brooke gives a rousing pro-drug-test speech that brings the students to their feet. Emboldened, Krupps decides the tests are to take place immediately, beginning with the athletic teams. Josh is panic-stricken that, if the cough syrup is detected in him, he will be thrown off the team and lose his college scholarship. The episode ends with the words “to be continued.”

Ur-ine Trouble
The election for student council president is over, and Brooke (Leslie Bibb) has chosen to drop out of the race. But there are bigger issues that now concern her. Harrison (Christopher Gorham), who was running against her and who declared during the debate that he has leukemia, is now hospitalized for chemotherapy treatments. Brooke feels guilty about the way she campaigned against him.

Brooke encounters Sugar Daddy (Ron Lester) in the hallway discarding a now-too-small suit. He asks her, in a whisper, if Brooke knows any surefire diets. She advises him to enroll in an eating-disorder clinic that she once attended. Sugar Daddy heeds her words and goes to the hospital to check himself in, hoping that he can lose some weight.

The next morning Brooke joins Sam (Carly Pope) at the breakfast table and is barely able to eat a piece of cereal, while Sam looks through the classifieds for a job. Sam is concerned about Brooke's lack of appetite but forgets about it when she reads an ad for a "teen ghostwriter" to write the memoirs of an eccentric woman. Sam makes a call and agrees to meet the woman in Kennedy High's girls' bathroom. But the woman turns out to be none other than Mary Cherry (Leslie Grossman), who is willing to give Sam $5,000 if she can hammer out Mary Cherry's memoirs before her own mother's tell-all life story goes to press. And to make sure Sam stays on the job, Mary Cherry literally ties her down with duct tape.

Brooke ropes Nicole (Tammy Lynn Michaels) into accompanying her to visit Harrison at the hospital. As they enter the room, she sees her former boyfriend Josh (Bryce Johnson) holding hands with his new girlfriend, Lily (Tamara Mello). Brooke becomes even more uncomfortable when, while apologizing to Harrison, he tells her what a desperate and lonely girl she is behind the big, blonde smile. Brooke leaves the room upset and finds herself in front of a candy vending machine. She then loads her purse with as many sweets as she can buy. Later on, Mike (Scott Bryce) hears her throwing up in the bathroom and discovers her hidden cache of sweets. He has no choice but to once again check Brooke into the eating-disorder clinic.

Meanwhile, Harrison has to contend with Clarence (Mike Damus), his hospital roommate, who borders on being a religious fanatic. Harrison girds himself against Clarence's holy-roller talk, but Clarence eventually drives his point home.

Are You There God? It's Me Ann-Margaret
Kennedy High is holding auditions for its production of "Equus." In an effort to bolster the spirits of her new boyfriend, Josh (Bryce Johnson), Lily (Tamara Mello) convinces him to try out. The two are cast as young Lovers, and upon reading the play discover that their characters appear buck naked in front of everyone and, more important ... each other! This elicits trepidation and a sense of inadequacy in the couple, so they embark on a desperate mission to increase their "assets."

Meanwhile, an embittered and particularly venomous Nicole (Tammy Lynn Michaels) wages war against her nemesis, Carmen (Sara Rue), by establishing a seemingly fraudulent bond, based on the one thing they have in common -- an alcoholic mother. Carmen buys into this fake friendship, emotionally and financially, making herself a clear target for Nicole.

At the hospital, Harrison (Christopher Gorham) and Brooke (Leslie Bibb) are in the midst of their own personal wars: Brooke is undergoing treatment -- for the third time -- for an eating disorder; and Harrison has been diagnosed with leukemia. While investigating the disappearance of his Bible-thumping roommate, Clarence (Mike Damus), Harrison discovers "God" in the form of Ann-Margret, who has come to restore his hope and faith.

The Concequences Of Falling
It is just before the Christmas holiday, and Mary Cherry (Leslie Grossman), Carmen (Sara Rue), Nicole (Tammy Lynn Michaels), Lily (Tamara Mello), and Sam (Carly Pope) are meeting at Christmasland to go shopping for a gift for the hospitalized Harrison (Christopher Gorham). Brooke (Leslie Bibb) is at the hospital taking tests to see if she is a bone marrow match for Harrison.

Meanwhile, Harrison and his hospital roommate, Clarence (Mike Damus), admire the tiny, cheap Christmas tree that brightens their dreary room. The two reminisce about past Christmas experiences with their families. After listening to Clarence's story, Harrison asks him if his mom and sister are coming to visit him Christmas Day. Clarence doesn't respond. Harrison gets up, sees Clarence sitting motionless in bed, staring into space, and realizes that he is dead. Harrison's mother, Robin (Alley Mills), comes to the hospital to comfort him.

On Christmas Eve, April Tuna (Adria Dawn), Ms. Glass (Diane Delano), Nicole, Mary Cherry, Josh (Bryce Johnson), Lily, Carmen, Sugar Daddy (Ron Lester), Sam, and Brooke, come to Harrison's room bearing Christmas gifts. But after everyone leaves, Harrison becomes even more sad.

Later that night, Nurse Dan (David Norona) checks on Harrison and sees that he has left the room. Harrison is on the ledge on the 15th floor, ready to jump, but he is stopped by the ghost of Clarence. Clarence proceeds to show Harrison what life would be like for his friends in the future if he had never been born.

It is now the year 2012 and a lot has changed: April Tuna owns a smelly but successful fish market, Tunaville; Mary Cherry and Nicole are cheap, unattractive prostitutes, with Sugar Daddy as their pimp; Josh and Lily are married Christian fundamentalists with a 10-year-old daughter; Josh becomes a congressman and then President of the United States, who accidentally blows up Russia; Sam becomes a drug addict and abused wife, but ends up marrying Harrison after she leaves her husband; Carmen turns mean and nasty like her friend Nicole; Brooke dies of anorexia and has her funeral in the chemistry lab.

After all of the negative news, Clarence gives Harrison a positive surprise for the future when he shows him his son. Clarence next takes Harrison to "Ma John's Flophouse," owned by Harrison's mom, who has turned into a bitter old woman. She kicks Harrison out of her hotel so he goes to Fishguts, the bar owned by Sam's mother, Jane McPherson (Lisa Darr). April Tuna has Harrison arrested for being a public nuisance by Officer Glass. Harrison finally escapes and comes back to the present.

Nurse Dan returns Harrison to his room, where his mother and all of his friends are gathered. Harrison gets good news: The bone marrow Web site his friends created found three matches for three people, but more important, Nicole is a perfect match for Harrison and she agrees to have the transplant surgery. The group celebrates with a chorus of "Auld Lang Syne."

Fire In The Hole
Sam (Carly Pope) and George Austin (A.T. Montgomery), are getting cozy in her bedroom. Sam wants to take their relationship to the next level. They begin to kiss and fool around. Sam reaches under her bed for a box of condoms. George is taken completely off guard and starts to pull back. He admits to Sam that he isn't quite ready for this step. After a brief discussion, they decide to wait to have sex.

At school the next day, Harrison (Chris Gorham) is welcomed back by his classmates after his stay in the hospital to battle leukemia. In chemistry class, Ms. Glass (Diane Delano) announces that it is National Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Week and that she has written a play, "That Burning Sensation: A Cautionary Tale," to demonstrate the dangers of STDs. The students will play the various diseases: George is Chlamydia; Lily (Tamara Mello) is Gonorrhea; April Tuna (Adria Dawn) is Syphilis; Josh (Bryce Johnson) and Sugar Daddy (Ron Lester) are Worrisome Warts; Mary Cherry (Leslie Grossman) and Nicole (Tammy Lynn Michaels) are Crabs; Brooke (Leslie Bibb) is Herpes; Sam is the Whore; Carmen Ferrara (Sara Rue) is Unsightly Yellow Discharge; and Harrison is the Lonely Virgin. The students will perform the play for kindergartners at a nearby school.

Later that day, Josh, Harrison, George, and Sugar Daddy discuss their new roles and previous sexual experiences. Since Harrison is still a virgin, they decide to get him a gift certificate to be with a prostitute, Candi Baux. When they give Harrison his "gift," he is insulted and embarrassed. In response, he asks Nicole if she will sleep with him, since she's done it with other guys many times before. Hurt and insulted, Nicole declines.

After school, Josh accompanies Lily to the free clinic so she can do some research on gonorrhea. While there, they run into George, who it turns out is not a complete virgin. Lily tells Sam about seeing George at the clinic, and she is very upset. Harrison decides to visit Candi, who turns out to be a much older lady. Harrison can't summon the courage to sleep with her, so they order Chinese food instead.

At the play's premiere, Mary Cherry thinks she has crabs, but it turns out to be an allergic reaction. All of the kids are dressed in their appropriate costumes and they perform to a half-filled auditorium. In the middle of the play, Harrison admits to the audience that he is still a virgin, but that he plans to continue to wait for the right person. Sam and George also decide to wait.

The Shocking Possession Of Harrison John
Since conquering his battle against leukemia, Harrison (Chris Gorham) has become a different person. He has startled his classmates by dressing in designer fashions and being very mean, outspoken and defiant. As his behavior worsens, Sam (Carly Pope), Nicole (Tammy Lynn Michaels), Carmen (Sara Rue), Lily (Tamara Mello) and Mary Cherry (Leslie Grossman) are convinced that Harrison is possessed by something. They theorize that after receiving Nicole's bone marrow, Harrison has now adapted her mean qualities. Since Harrison is possessed, the only thing to do is to perform an exorcism! They bring in a priest to perform the exorcism.

Meanwhile, Josh (Bryce Johnson) and Lily's relationship continues to heat up. They now spend almost all of their time together. Sugar Daddy (Ron Lester) is feeling left out and neglected by Josh. After making plans to buy a PlayStation 2 system after school, Josh keeps Sugar Daddy waiting in the rain for over an hour. Sugar tells Josh their friendship is over. Sugar quickly finds a new friend in George (A.T. Montgomery). They share the same interests and have a great time, until Sugar becomes too needy. George decides that this is too much for him and pulls back. After spending their time apart, Josh apologizes to Sugar for taking him for granted and they agree to be better friends.

Nicole is excited about celebrating her birthday and having a session with an astrologer, a gift from Brooke (Leslie Bibb). In preparation for her meeting with the astrologer, Nicole asks her mom, politician Judy Julian (Randee Heller) some details about her birth, where/what time was she born, etc. Her mother gives her conflicting information about those details, causing Nicole to be a little suspicious. Nicole and Brooke break into a box containing information on Nicole's birth. They are shocked to find that it reveals that Nicole was adopted. After arguing and pleading with her mother, Nicole gets the name of her birth mother, who was a 16-year-old cheerleader from the working class town of Fontana at the time of Nicole's birth. Nicole goes to Fontana only to find that her mother died recently. Unable to find any answers about her past, Nicole starts to question who she is now.

After his short trip to the dark side, Harrison reveals that he too needs to look inside himself and find out who he is.

Mary Charity
Most of the students at Kennedy High School are preparing for picture day and Mary Cherry (Leslie Grossman) is in the Novak trying on different fabulous gowns to make sure she looks perfect. While changing, she is surprised by two sheriff's deputies who burst into the Novak, ordering her to turn over her clothes and personal items. It turns out that her mother, Cherry Cherry, has declared bankruptcy, and all of the families' assets and personal items have been seized.

While Mary Cherry is trying to save her designer clothes collection, Sam (Carly Pope) and Carmen (Sara Rue) are trying to save the school yearbook. Sales are down because students either don't have the money to pay for pictures or to buy new clothes or they just hate taking pictures. They come up with a plan to provide clothes and hair/make-up makeovers for needy students who can't afford to take pictures or who are too uncomfortable with their appearance. April Tuna (Adria Dawn) is their first makeover candidate. What started out as an experiment on a person's outside appearance turns out to be a lesson in the importance of what is inside a person.

Now that Harrison (Chris Gorham) and Brooke (Leslie Bibb) are out of the hospital, they have a new appreciation for life. Brooke decides that she isn't going to take her school picture this year. Harrison takes her to thrift store to try on some vintage clothes, hoping she'll get excited and change her mind about the pictures. As they play dress-up, both of them start feeling something different, a closeness that wasn't there before. They almost kiss, when one of them pulls back.

Meanwhile, Mary Cherry has been transformed from a spoiled rich debutante to a poor, destitute bag lady … literally. Instead of expensive designer fashions, her clothes consist of a Hefty bag, paper shoes, and a hat from Kentucky Fried Chicken. Lily (Tamara Mello) offers to help, showing Mary Cherry how to be poor and suggesting she get a job as a cafeteria food server at school. After dumping Sloppy Joe meat on Nicole when she sees her wearing one of her favorite outfits, Mary Cherry is fired from the first job she ever had. Mary Cherry is even more affected by her plight when Lily takes her to Skid Row to see how really desperate people live.

The makeover experiment is a huge success and the yearbook is saved, but Sam and Carmen's friendship with April Tuna is ruined. Brooke and Harrison decide to remain just friends. Mary Cherry is back to her old self after her families' fortune is restored. To show her appreciation for what she went through, she makes a private visit back to the people on Skid Row to offer them some help

The News of My Death Has Been Greatly Exaggerated
Lily (Tamara Mello) picks up Mary Cherry (Leslie Grossman), Brooke (Leslie Bibb), and Carmen (Sara Rue) in her electric car because Mary's Hummer broke down on the way to cheerleading practice. As they continue on their way to school, they pass a terrible car accident. The girls notice the Gremlin's license plate, TUNA69, and realize that the car belongs to their classmate April Tuna (Adria Dawn). The impact of the accident will have repercussions for everyone at Kennedy High School.

Later at school, Nicole (Tammy Lynn Michaels), who is still searching for her birth mother, stands in line at the lunch counter waiting to speak with the cashier, Mary Lou Parker (Brenda Bakke). Nicole has noticed that she has the same diaper pin that Mary Lou has. When she gets in front of the cashier, Nicole mentions that she is adopted, hoping to get a reaction from Mary Lou. It doesn't work. Nicole enlists Sam (Carly Pope), to help her look online for information about her birth mother. While online, Sam receives an e-mail from Harrison (Christopher Gorham) that was sent while he was in the hospital. In the letter he tells Sam that he loves her and doesn't want to die before telling her how he feels. Harrison also sent e-mail to Nicole, telling her what a bitch she is.

Meanwhile, since April's untimely death, Brooke, Mary Cherry, and Carmen are feeling guilty about how they treated April when she approached them about being the Glamazon's choreographer. They let her know that she was not welcome in their circle. Principal Krupps (Robert Gant) has hired a grief counselor to help the students cope with the loss. They even plan a memorial service for her and create a shrine by her locker. Josh (Bryce Johnson), who has a new haircut, a "mullet," that is so unhip yet cool at the same time, and Lily also deal with the guilt of how they treated April. The couple then get into an argument over Josh's hairstyle. During April's memorial service, Josh and Lily reunite, Nicole reads Harrison's offending e-mail and admits some important truths to herself, and someone makes a surprise appearance.

After the memorial service Nicole and Harrison mend their friendship. But Nicole gets yet another surprise. Mary Lou the cafeteria lady admits that she is really Nicole's birth mother, Shaggy Louise Grout. They have an intense conversation, with Louise describing Nicole's birth and why she had to give her up.

After giving her time to think about his e-mail, Harrison forces Sam to choose between him or her boyfriend George (A.T. Montgomery). Sam's decision will affect their friendship forever.

It's Greek To Me
Since reuniting with her birth mother, Shaggy Louise Grout (Brenda Bakke), in the school cafeteria, Nicole (Tammy Lynn Michaels) has been trying to make up the years they lost. But Nicole's mother, Judy Julian (Randee Heller), is not as enthusiastic about the reunion.

Bobbi Glass (Diane Delano), who is Nicole's school advisor, steps in to help repair the relationship. After the emotional meeting, Nicole decides to leave with her birth mother. A desperate Judy Julian offers Shaggy a $50,000 bribe to disappear from Nicole's life. Judy also reveals that Shaggy is pretending to be Nicole's real mother. All the while, Nicole is eavesdropping on their conversation. She comes out to confront Shaggy. Shaggy leaves empty-handed, and Nicole and Judy actually become closer.

Meanwhile, Brooke (Leslie Bibb), Carmen (Sara Rue), Sam (Carly Pope), and Lily (Tamara Mello) are growing weary of immature boys and their boring high school existence, where the most exciting event during the day is the food fight in the cafeteria. When Kennedy High School hosts a college fair, Brooke meets college coed Flynn Hudson (Rachel Wilson). Flynn, who is in the sorority Alpha Theta, invites Brooke and her friends to a party given by Alpha Theta's brother fraternity, Lambda Pi Phi. Josh (Bryce Johnson), George (A.T. Montgomery), and Harrison (Chris Gorham) crash the party, hoping to meet some college coeds. Sam and Lily, who lied to Sam's parents about where they were going, are forced to spend the evening playing board games with Jane (Lisa Darr) and Mike (Scott Bryce).

While at the party Carmen meets Chad, a seemingly nice guy. They go to his room, where he spills beer on her clothes. Carmen immediately senses that something else is about to happen and hides in the closet. She alerts Brooke, who is downstairs, by cell phone and is quickly rescued by Josh and the guys.

After their experience at the frat party, the group learns that high school isn't so bad after all.

Fag
When a new student, Bryan Rose (Joel Michaely), gets harassed by Josh (Bryce Johnson) and Sugar Daddy (Ron Lester), as well as other students, for possibly being gay, Lily (Tamara Mello) decides to start the Gay and Lesbian Alliance of Supportive Students (G.L.A.S.S.) club at Kennedy High School. After publicly announcing the first G.L.A.S.S. meeting, someone writes "fag" on Lily's locker in red paint.

Meanwhile, Sam (Carly Pope), George (A.T. Montgomery), and Carmen (Sara Rue) experience some harassment of their own when they shop for Sam's prom dress at Tres Jolie Lady. Carmen, just hired as a sales clerk by the store, is being trained by Anna Lin (Linda Park), an Asian woman who warns her about the thieving tendencies of African-American and Latina customers. George gets harassed by three African-American young women who are upset that he is dating a white girl.

Brooke (Leslie Bibb) gets a visit from Jamie Roth (Nick Stabile), the college guy she met at the frat party. They meet at a posh hotel, where Jamie reveals that he is Jewish after they run into Jared (Chris Engen), a former frat brother who wouldn't let Jamie into his frat because of his religion. Jared is the same person who rejected Sugar Daddy for a job because he was fat.

But these events pale against Ms. Glass (Diane Delano) and Lily being attacked after leaving a gay and lesbian community center. Lily has to be hospitalized. After that terrible incident the kids go back to Tres Jolie Lady and the hotel to try and put a stop to any kind of discrimination they encounter.

After their experiences, everyone realizes that hate comes in many forms and in ways that they didn't even think about. Bryan Rose tells Lily that he defaced her locker out of fear and then he admits that he is gay and offers to host the G.L.A.S.S. meetings at his house.

Coup
As Kennedy High School's student body president, April Tuna (Adria Dawn) has a lot of power over the student clubs. Because of budget cuts, Principal Krupps (Robert Gant) orders her to eliminate one of the clubs. After Nicole (Tammy Lynn Michaels) overhears their conversation, she gets some ideas of her own about how she can help April make the right decision -- getting rid of the Glamazons.

In the meantime, Brooke (Leslie Bibb) continues to see her college-student boyfriend, Jamie Roth (Nick Stabile). She accidentally falls asleep while watching TV at his apartment and doesn't leave until the next morning. She freaks out and calls Sam (Carly Pope) and asks her to cover for her in case her father asks where she is. But it's too late. Mike (Scott Bryce) has already been to Brooke's room and discovered that she hasn't slept there. When she returns home later that night, Mike grounds both her and Sam for lying. Later, Mike reverses his decision and even invites Jamie to the house for dinner so he can get to know him better.

In the name of sisterhood, April replaces her vice president, Gus Latrine (Simon Helberg), with Nicole. The relationship Emory Dick (Hank Harris) has with April is on shaky ground, as is his reign as president of the John-Travolta-inspired Staying Alive club, since cutting the club is under consideration. Harrison (Christopher Gorham) and Josh (Bryce Johnson) both want to be the new president because extracurricular activities will look good on their college resumes. Emory makes them and Lily (Tamara Mello), who has thrown her hat in the ring, perform a "Saturday Night Fever" dance-off, complete with costumes, to decide who will be the new president.

April mistakenly thinks that she has an ally in Nicole now that she is vice president. Wrong! Nicole plots to create a hip new pep squad, Bring It!, to compete with the Glamazons. Carmen (Sara Rue) and Mary Cherry (Leslie Grossman) unknowingly sign a petition canceling the Glamazons. Emory tries to save the Staying Alive club by blackmailing April with an explicit videotape of the two of them. Principal Krupps seizes the videotape and names Nicole student body president. She cancels the Glamazons and Staying Alive. Her reign of terror at Kennedy High has just begun.

The Brain Game
Needing to reaffirm her popularity after a disastrous audition for a teen talent showcase, "Teen Tartz," Mary Cherry (Leslie Grossman) decides to redirect her focus and resurrect Kennedy High's academic decathlon team to compete on the televised "The Big Head Challenge." She recruits Nicole (Tammy Lynn Michaels) to be a part of the team and Ms. Glass (Diane Delano) to be the student advisor. Brooke (Leslie Bibb) and Sam (Carly Pope) also join the team. In the meantime, Mary Cherry receives a surprise visit from her mother, Cherry Cherry (Delta Burke). Cherry has enrolled at Kennedy to retake the SATs because she scored only 50 points when she originally took the test many years ago. Cherry desperately wants to be on the team, but Josh (Bryce Johnson) gets the last spot by beating her in a runoff Q&A test.

Lily (Tamara Mello) is doing her own academic thing by setting up SAT study sessions with Josh, Brooke, and Sam. Never a good student, Josh is having particular difficulty with the test and fears losing Lily if he does badly. Carmen (Sara Rue) inexplicably decides to back out of the SAT practice to take salsa lessons with a very sexy young instructor, Pablo (Mario Lopez), whom she begins to develop a crush on because of the way he dances with her. Lily disapproves of Carmen's dancing when she should be preparing for her future by taking the SATs. When Carmen realizes that Pablo is very sensual with all of his female dance partners, she is devastated.

It's competition day, and the Kennedy High decathlon team will compete against the John Ashcroft Private School for Special Needs Children, led by Cherry Cherry! Cherry's other teammates are the three judges from "Teen Tartz" (Jim J. Bullock, Alyson Reed, and Rick Fitts). "The Big Head Challenge" host is none other than Ed McMahon (as himself). The Ashcroft school takes a huge early lead, but the Kennedy High team makes a comeback. Surprisingly, Josh puts the Kennedy team ahead by knowledgeably answering questions about poultry, the one area he actually knows something about. He answers the final question and wins the game for Kennedy!

Josh and Lily repair their relationship and Pablo surprises Carmen by coming to school to ask her out for coffee. Although disappointed at losing, Cherry Cherry tells Mary Cherry that she has never been more proud of her.

I Know What You Did Last Spring Break
After returning from a spring-break vacation in Yemen during which he tried to get over his feelings for Sam (Carly Pope), Harrison (Chris Gorham) begins to have unexplained nosebleeds. Ms. Glass (Diane Delano) deduces that Harrison has been infected with the Rift Valley fever that is sweeping through Yemen. Assisted by Dr. Joanie Salk (Jane Lynch) from the Centers for Disease Control, Ms. Glass quarantines the whole school. But while everyone is locked in, secrets manage to come out.

While Harrison and Sam are sequestered in the nurse's office, the rest of the group remains in chemistry class. Suddenly, Mary Cherry (Leslie Grossman) receives a call on her cell phone from someone with a scary voice who claims to know that she tried out for a horror movie instead of going to Cancun for spring break. To her surprise, the speaker on the phone appears behind her, wearing a cloak and mask. Freaked out of her mind, Mary is chased out of chemistry class and into the hallway.

Back in the quarantine room, April Tuna (Adria Dawn) asks how everyone spent their spring break. Lily (Tamara Mello) breaks her silence on the secret she and the others have been keeping. They didn't go to Cancun as planned. Instead, all of them stayed in L.A. and had very interesting experiences.

Meanwhile, the mysterious stalker continues to terrorize the group, and everyone becomes suspicious and wary of each other, particularly when it's revealed that everyone lied about what they really did over spring break. The most shocking revelation is that Brooke (Leslie Bibb) and Harrison slept together after Brooke caught her college boyfriend with his ex-girlfriend. Sam, who has tried to repair her friendship with Harrison, is particularly upset. She and George (A.T. Montgomery) broke up during spring break because she thought he was ashamed of her. After spending time together in the nurse's office, she and Harrison kissed and made up. George witnessed the kiss after he broke into the nurse's office in an attempt to rescue Sam.

In the midst of the chaos, the real Dr. Salk (Jennifer Rhodes) arrives at the school. The stalker is then revealed as the fake Dr. Salk, who is actually Suzi Klein (Jane Lynch), the travel agent Mary Cherry used when she tried to book the group's trip to Cancun. When Mary cancelled the vacation, Suzi lost points that would have won her a trip to Jamaica, so she sought revenge on the students.

You Don't Tug On Supermans Cape
The relationship between Sam (Carly Pope) and Brooke (Leslie Bibb) has been seriously damaged since the revelation that Harrison (Chris Gorham) and Brooke slept together during spring break. But, after realizing that neither one of them did anything wrong, they instead focus their anger on Harrison. Sam also tries to fix her relationship with George (A.T. Montgomery). Later, Sam and Brooke surprise each other by revealing their true feelings for Harrison.

Sam and Brooke aren't the only ones to have their lives change suddenly. Josh (Bryce Johnson) is jolted by the news that his mother Jean (Dey Young) has accepted a job in St. Paul, Minnesota. They will need to leave Los Angeles at the end of the school year. Josh of course, does not want to leave his friends or school. As an alternative to leaving L.A., Josh contemplates living with his father. He changes his mind after hearing his long list of demands. Then Josh is shocked again when Lily (Tamara Mello) suggests that they get married instead. Despite their parents' disapproval, they head to the altar.

Meanwhile, Mary Cherry (Leslie Grossman) runs her Hummer into a car belonging to Big Bertha Muffin (Lindsay Hollister), a seven-year senior and a bully. After the accident, Mary writes a note of apology, but signs the letter as Nicole (Tammy Lynn Michaels). Big Bertha confronts Nicole, thinking that she hit her car, but Nicole points out that the note's letterhead came from "the desk of Mary Cherry." As punishment, Big Bertha demands that she and Mary Cherry fight it out by the lockers.

While Josh and Lily become a married couple, Sam, Brooke, and Harrison's relationship suffers further damage after a confrontation at a restaurant. With help from Nicole, Mary Cherry survives her fight with Big Bertha. Lastly, Jane McPherson's (Lisa Darr) water breaks, signaling the eminent arrival of Brooke and Sam's baby sister.

Problems
After Jane McPherson (Lisa Darr) goes into labor unexpectedly at home, Sam (Carly Pope) and Brooke (Leslie Bibb) are recruited to deliver the baby girl. Another unexpected surprise is the announcement of Josh (Bryce Johnson) and Lily's (Tamara Mello) wedding.

Now that they are married, Josh and Lily are making adjustments to their lives. They move into Ms. Glass' (Diane Delano) basement apartment because living at home with Lily's disapproving mother was becoming unbearable. However, after Ms. Glass makes them clean her house and yard, staying with Lily's mom starts looking like not such a bad idea.

Meanwhile, in a weird twist of circumstances, Mary Cherry (Leslie Grossman), who is desperate for a sibling after watching Sam and Brooke bond after delivering their baby sister, conjures up a hip-hop-clothes-wearing twin sister named Baby Honey Chile, B.Ho for short (Leslie Grossman). Wanting to have all the riches to herself, B.Ho arranges to have Mary Cherry sent to an orphanage. At the orphanage, Mary Cherry meets her long-lost father, Sweet Honey Chile (RuPaul), a statuesque drag queen. Sweet Honey Chile and Cherry Cherry apparently had a quick fling many years ago that resulted in Mary Cherry and B.Ho. The two girls grew up separately, Mary Cherry with Cherry Cherry and B.Ho with Sweet Honey Chile.

Adding to the excitement is the upcoming junior prom. Because of the recent break-ups and marriages, no one knows whom they are taking to the prom. Sam and Brooke decide to ask Harrison (Chris Gorham) to go to the prom with them. He is shocked by the invitation at first, thinking it's another one of their tricks, but then warms up to the idea. Nicole (Tammy Lynn Michaels) takes a big risk and asks George (A.T. Montgomery) to the prom. He says yes at first, but later changes his mind after Brooke tells him how mean Nicole really is. Nicole is crushed and angry after the rejection.

The season finale ends with two cliffhangers: Harrison finally decides between Sam and Brooke, and Nicole, drunk and upset, sets out to get revenge on Brooke, with possible tragic results.
